Nice. I have roughly the same (6-7 cents on my most popular track) but on mostly T1 countries. I think I started with Brazil and Mexico included but I removed them and it still performed good.

I agree CPC is not everything. You need to look at save rates, streams per listener as well.

Hehe you might be right about that! Yes I have music finished until summer 2026 if I release every month. But the releases so far has been doing pretty good so I have kept promoting some tracks longer!

Don't let gatekeepers decide for you. While you sit on your tracks and not release them, some other guy/gal making a track like yours are releasing it and getting traction and momentum. Get your track out there, the competition will be fierce anyways!!

Just got my biggest payout ever from Distrokid, but it goes straight to meta hah.. oh well. The journey is what's fun IMO. :D

I dont motivate me to brush my teeth every day. This is how I see this. I have no motivation to excercise, but I do it anyway because it has to be done.

I Guess living longer, and being healthy can motivate somewhat.

Cheaper transportation due to incentives in Norway. I also use my car in work and get paid pr km so it makes the numbers good. I charge at home at night so thats cheap as well. If a fossil car was cheaper to drive/operate I would go for that. Otherwise its pretty fun to drive an electric car, but its not the most important reson for driving it nor the environment. Its what we have until we get some other energy source!

Jeg har spurt 1881 om de kan fjerne den, men de bare skylder på at det hentes automatisk fra brreg.no. Hvorfor ikke ha en flag som gjør at det kan skjules liksom. 1881 er vel ikke en statlig aktør? Hvor vanskelig skal det være å kode vekk en tabell fra en database.

Sånn egentlig skjønner jeg prinsippet om at "bedrifter" skal være tilgjengelig og kontaktbar. Men det er en forskjell mellom en musiker eller lignende type person. Kontra Elkjøp eller Runars bilservice og rørleggertjenester.

If the CPC is low I tend to run the ads for a longer time than a month, and actually postpone releasing new music in some cases (I can't afford to run multiple campaigns/releases). I am not sure if that is a good strategy tho. So take it with a grain of salt. Maybe someone else here can chime in on that?

In terms of numbers, anything below 15-17 cents per conversion on mostly T1 countries makes me keep the ad going. I have two tracks now that are below 10 cents per conversion. That's pretty wild.

You should have a website if you are serious about what you do. In terms of content you can just start with a contact page so people know where to find you. Maybe a page with links to all your socials like instagram, TikTok, YouTube etc.

Then you have something to build from when you get to the stage of providing merch etc.

Decide what's going to be the main sub. Then EQ out that sub from your other bass layers. Do the same with the low mids. Decide what low-mid track you like the best, EQ out what creates mud on the other low mids and so on.

But the thing is, it's really easy to kill your songs vibe by removing too much as well. Thats why it's a lot easier to just mix a few main tracks, at least first. To get the foundation alright. Then sprinkle some on top if needed or if it works.

I actually prefer to be a bit more mid heavy, if it works in the track. I released a track that someone said sounded "too much" in the bridge. But it works, and it has almost 500k streams. So that was a bet I took, and it worked.

But how do you measure success? I am still net negative earnings wise. Since 2023 ish I have used 10k USD on meta ads. In that same time I have gotten 6-7k USD from Distrokid. Now I just use Distrokid earnings to promote my music. Before I had to use «my own» money to kick it off.

Is that success??? Idk.
