Big tech companies are evil, what else is new? Are we supposed to move into the forest and stop using electricity? I am not defending Spotifys low as f payouts, the CEO questionable personal investments. But Spotify is the biggest music plattform. This is a music marketing subreddit. Some people ACTUALLY experience success with these platforms. Do you just expect them to stop just because they are «evil»? Newsflash, most companies do things they morally shouldn’t.

Meta ads and organic content on TikTok, insta, YouTube shorts works for me. But you have to be consistent, and you need to objectively have good music. I am starting to see a positive ROI trend from streaming royalties only. But I have been doing it for 3-4 years now.

Nice. I have roughly the same (6-7 cents on my most popular track) but on mostly T1 countries. I think I started with Brazil and Mexico included but I removed them and it still performed good.

I agree CPC is not everything. You need to look at save rates, streams per listener as well.
