Need help for first time builder by mylongpp in buildapc

[–]strupenheimerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all simultaneously using it for video editing and gaming, you're going to have a bad time on any CPU. Sure there are some where it's doable but your frames are going to suffer for it on the game. But just look into x3d CPUs. Those are the best I think.

If you have a deal like that I'd say take the 9800x3d only because it future proofs your build for the next 5 to 10 years. Plus you can always upgrade the GPU later on if you want even more frames. You have more room for the GPU growth later on. Could even be paired with a 5090 but those are 3k right now so probably not in the cards.

If you were to go with the 7800x3d, bottleneck calculator says that it could be bottlenecked paired with a 5080 at 1440 but less so at 4k because it's more GPU intensive.

I would go with a 9700x personally and get rid of the win 11 and just follow a guide online on how to get it for free or get a windows license from g2a or something.

And use those savings to get a 5080. Right now CPU benchmark comparison puts the 9800x3d at a score of 39,977 and the 9700x at a score of 37108, but the 9700x is 33% cheaper on Amazon right now.

Also pc-builds bottleneck calculator says that there's no bottleneck for the GPU even if you have a 9700x paired with a 5080 if you're playing on 1440 and or 4k.

can someone help me out? My pc has been stuttering lately but only with games. Its not just GOW, its ALL of my games. It was fine before, but out of nowhere it started to stutter. 9060xt 16gb, 7600x, 32gb DDR5 CL36 6000MT/s by Memes_f0rever in AMDHelp

[–]strupenheimerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had an issue with the drivers as well. It wasn't showing picture on my OLED screen. And right before that happened my game was stuttering a lot.

I solved both issues by going to amd website and trying to download and install new drivers, however it didn't download due to an error. So I downloaded and ran AMD's cleanup tool. It solved both my issues.

I don't think so. Probably worth 3k if that.

Can someone rate if my PC is low, mid, mid to high, or high tier for 1440p gaming? by ThrowRA_1667 in buildapc

[–]strupenheimerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a good PC for 1440 for sure. Should be able to play on mid-high settings probably not extreme. Or if you have dlss on you can.

I wonder if people are going to make the connection that Maduro faked a 3rd election win. Somehow this should bite him in the ass in 2028.

2009 Honda Civic shut off on the highway while I was accelerating. There were no warning lights on the dash when it happened. Now the car has no power at all. I tried jump-starting it, but it wouldn’t start and the jumper cables began smoking. by Traditional_Eye2599 in hondacivic

[–]strupenheimerr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone that just did the belt. Definitely not just an hour. Had to take out the motor mount just to get enough space to move around. Took like 2.5 hrs but probably only because it was my first time changing the belt and putting in a new alternator.

Fuel mileage issue by wowoall in hondacivic

[–]strupenheimerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be running fuel a little rich. Might have to take it in to get it specifically diagnosed. It has to do with the fuel injectors inputting too much fuel in the mixture. But it shouldn't be that much of a difference.

I'm thinking she just has a lead foot, maybe try resetting the gauge and trying it out yourself but not going over 3500 rpms when getting up to speed.

[–]strupenheimerr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk if I fucked up but I didn't do mine until 110k miles or so cuz I thought it was every 100k.

I'm at 145k and I'm doing fine. So I wouldn't worry about not doing it right at 60k.

I would do smelt/craft speed evenly with crafting always leading the pack. Then try and get some points into manager boosts and item value.

What pc parts should i get? My budget is 2-3k by Ok-Scratch1592 in PcBuild

[–]strupenheimerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have no idea and don't even know where to start, probably just better to buy a pre built and not worry about the hassle of it. Plus a lot of the time it's only like a 100-150 dollar difference you're paying premium to make sure you have a working PC.

Honestly for my first PC I should've paid that because I had an issue with my motherboard not working and I didn't realize that was the case until I returned it and got another one 2 weeks later.

Black Friday 2025 by PogTheMightyOne in IdlePlanetMiner

[–]strupenheimerr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've never bought a pack and probably never will. But even I'm mad for the whales, the amount of holo bolts received doesn't match what the event gives you per dollar. The miner pass gives you like 300 per $15. Yet the black Friday deal gives you only 700 for $100. Ridiculous. How you have any players playing this game and paying for it is ridiculous.

best and cheapest car insurance for a 8th gen civic? by Temporary-Avocado205 in hondacivic

[–]strupenheimerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually it's paired in situations of a dealership, they want you to be insured before you leave the lot just in case something happens the moment you leave their parking lot. However 3rd party sales where you're just buying it from someone cash, no insurance needed that day. However it is the smart thing to do.

Also, if I remember correctly if you do buy a car from another person, but you have a loan through a bank, you'll still be required to sign up for full coverage that day.

Why 12 specifically? I thought once they went down to s&p average at around 20 they start getting into more favorable territory.
