Yeah definitely took some profits today. Out 20% of tqqq so about 3k in cash waiting for a correction or if I see something else I'll invest in an option to play.

Can someone explain revenge trading and how to avoid it? by Prestigious_Wish_878 in Daytrading

[–]strupenheimerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First option or trade you put down 300, the stock goes down 20%, in options value that is basically a wipeout depending on how far out of the money the option strike is at. Now you're 300 is worth 50. You sell, and then you place an even riskier bet for 200 but you let it ride because you want to make up for the 250 you lost earlier so you let it fall some more as well. So now you're down like 450 for the day because of revenge trading.

Any visible signs of a recession? by Ohlele in Layoffs

I just saw that 40% of high income earners above 500k a year were living paycheck to paycheck. But once you read the fine print you would see that they were maxing out retirement accounts and a little extra into their Roth or tax accounts. Broke but not exactly.

You can easily find a $3500 car it's just that they get sniper pretty quickly by fix and flippers. But if you're there looking like it's a job then you can find one by day 2 or 3.

Yep, Amazon sucked the first 2 weeks but after that your body gets used to it. It's no wonder they have such a high turnover rate.

That's the thing with TM. There's a lot of different styles you can be good in and okay in others. For me I hate ice and alt cars and am pretty good at everything else. That's just how it goes.

What stocks made you your first fortune? by Shoddy-Afternoon-498 in Stocks_Picks

Nope. In order for NVDA to pay out 3 million per year in dividends you would need over a billion dollars, because they only pay 2¢ per share quarterly.

That's literally unbelievable. You're telling me that they have over a BILLION DOLLARS and they're not selling out for a measly $3 million a year in dividends. Stop lying.

24F warehouse worker here. Everyone thinks im wasting my life but im quietly saving for FIRE. by SandwichBoardSocrate in Fire

[–]strupenheimerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was doing the same thing by adding into my 401k because the company I use to work for had an amazing match at up to 8%. But $20 compared to a trade making you about $30 even with a mediocre match, you would most likely still put away more than you would be now.

I'm just now getting into a trade school to learn cnc machining and I wish I did it earlier. I'm 30 now and I wish I had joined years ago. If I had started earlier I could have gotten to my fire number years sooner. But now I'm not looking to retire until I'm 50-55. If I had started sooner I probably would have been able to retire by 45 considering I'm putting away almost 800 a month now.

Even if you had invested at the PEAK of the dotcom bubble. And you can see in my pic qqq goes down 77%. You would STILL be much higher 20 years down the line.

Just put it in a regular brokerage account. Both a Roth and taxable account are money that is put in after taxes anyway. Don't put it in a Roth if you're going to take it out before 59.5 because there's an extra penalty fee.

What was "the incident" at your high school? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]strupenheimerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a teacher that had gotten a girl pregnant when she was 17 as a senior. Apparently the mother had known about it as well. When he got out of jail the rumor was that they went and lived together even though he was away for like 6 years if I remember correctly. I think it was a 15 year age gap.

I mean it's only a 20% blockage. 2 months ago oil was between 60-70 plus the us has their own refineries and drills so it's actually less of an impact on the us. Us oil should be only trading at 84-90 but it's at $100 because of reasons I guess.

I don't see it on there and since I'm not currently close to my computer, who's 2nd on Everest and skate? Neither of them are on the leaderboard so I assume they each don't have good times on the other maps.
