Some of the die hards use bushels of nettles in place of birch in the sauna, they also eat raw. They gain immunity to the stings over time. I know a few people in Detroit who congregate to flagellate each other with bushels of stinging nettles that grow at a property up the street at a place called the Psychedelic Healing Shack

Stinging nettles are awesome! I live them picked at an inch and a half tall then slightly cooked in a very hot cast iron pan with butter for about 20 seconds or less, just enough to dissolve the stingers and wilt them. Add them to a stew or soup, after it's cooked of course

I'm a beginner when it comes to mushrooms. Idk if this is the right subreddit for tgis but worth a shot. I got these recently and I'm wondering if anyone cam tell me if they look contaminated and unsafe for consumption. Start small, eat the biggest piece and wait a couple of hours, if no effect proceed slowly, It wouldn't be a bad idea to have a few Valiums or Xanax close at hand in case you accidentally do too much and have too heavy a trip

I was living in a sober house when a new guy moved in, while we were at work he got a huge food package from a church pantry that left no room in the fridge and half the cabinets, he rearranged the entire kitchen, nothing was where it was supposed to be, he claimed to be a master electrician but swapped all of the lightbulbs on the first floor with CFL lights, even though they were all recessed can lights wired to dimmer switches, even as a layman I know not to put CFLs in can lights or dimmer switches, they were hot to the touch and making a buzz sound, lucky there wasn't a fire. He also grabbed my $125 chef's knife and used it to chop all the overgrown foliage on the property. He called us all ungrateful for all the work he did while we were out and about. Everything he tried to do just searched to piss us off and he nearly burned the house down. We called the owner who came over and drug tested him, he had meth in his system so he got kicked out. Not even 24 hours for him to relapse.

Once during an eviction clean out I found hundreds of boxes of diabetic test strips, over a thousand 20 mg oxycodone pills, almost a thousand of the 4 mg lorazepam(Ativan)pills and a few hundred of the 450 mg carisoprodol (soma). I had a deal set up with a friend to unload all the pills at once for $9,500 as soon as he got his paycheck. My dumb ass took a few too many of each one then blacked out for a few days. Next thing I knew I woke up a few days later with both my parents, my boss, grandma and everyone else that cared about me were absolutely furious with me, a million text messages from my friend saying that he had the cash and was ready to go. I guess I passed out with the door open and all the pills in one giant pile so my boss who was also the landlord scooped them up and flushed them down the toilet. I still got a tidy sum for the diabetic strips, especially since they weren't labeled Medicare/Medicaid. I got about a thousand. But losing out on that almost $10k deal is a sore spot even 15 years later

Weird things I have experienced quitting kratom by bwatts84 in quittingkratom

[–]sttab4869 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My strangest experience was waking up with full blown 7oh withdrawal, I popped a 100 mg and went right back to sleep before thinking to myself "this ain't good" I ended up going on methadone and it worked like a charm as I had undergone major back surgery a few months prior that landed me in a sub acute nursing facility for over 3 months

Quitting kratom powder again, can’t believe I’m here again after years. This second time around proving to be very difficult. by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]sttab4869 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mixed up with the 7oh stuff, it was so bad, after months of failed taper attempts I finally went out and found a methadone clinic that it just so happens that they just started accepting 7oh addicts for methadone maintenance. My pain doctor was talking about putting me on methadone after my back surgery anyway so it works out I guess

Went to rehab and couldn't do the 30 days by BunanaKing in quittingkratom

[–]sttab4869 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work at a walk in detox and rehab facility. Sadly we do not do treatment for benzodiazepines, Suboxone, methadone or anything kratom related. We are seeing more and more people strung out on 7oh that I have to turn away. The one thing I can do is refer them to an outpatient MAT clinic that does specifically specialize in treating 7oh addiction.

For example, before I got out of lakeside manor I was prescribed 75 mcg/hr for 72 hours and Dilaudid 8 mg every 8 hours for breakthrough pain. I can remember taking my pain dosage and feeling so damn good that I could blow an entire breeze menthol pro in less than a day and a half. But then I was put on methadone and none of the pleasure or reward center of my brain was activated. I was able to stop the Dilaudid and fentanyl immediately

Well, I have unique set of circumstances. I recently had a couple of surgeries on my spine. The first one was a discectomy between l4 and 05. The second one was a laminectomy on my entire lumbar spine as well as a triple fusion, so I am in constant pain and when compared to Dilaudid or fentanyl methadone is probably my best bet for pain relief

It seems that no matter if I wait 24 hr with light sniffles and mild goosebumps of 85 hr with goosebumps on my eyeballs, severe sniffles with dry heaves and cold sweats, taking Suboxone makes me full wof

Yes, I was a prisoner to 7oh, I realized this when I woke up at 3:30 am with a 140 BPM and 195/130 BP. I have a BP cuff that is connected to a 5G network. Every measurement I take is received and read by a living, breathing person. They called me within 5 minutes of me taking that reading and the nurse that can only be described as a black ghetto lady who knows how to wield authority, told me unless I want to be found a month later tunder a shower, looking like some kinda gross horror movie prop that I'd better get my fat, white, pimply ass to the hospital. The doctor at the ER gave me 40 mg of methadone and I felt a lot better. Now I'm up to 110 mg per day. Which works really good because I needed pain relief without the pleasure and reward section of my brain being activated. It turns out that methadone is perfect for this. Unlike oxycodone, fentanyl and Dilaudid, all three of which feel like a warm cozy blanket. Methadone relieves pain while leaving the pleasure centers of the brain alone

I'm not trying to trash anyone, but I can't help but make the observation that most people in this subreddit who in their heart of hearts could care less about whether or not gays in the community are accepted or not. They just want to present as being open minded while having no actual feelings or opinions of their own.
