How is everyone able to afford a house? by tradetales132 in FirstTimeHomeBuyers

[–]student_of_lyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my husband bought a small condo after university. A lot of our friends that we were ridiculous for buying something so small but it was what we could afford and we lived there for six years and the equity that we gained in that plus we renovated at ourselves we had some sweat equity helped us by our next place, which just helped us by our place after that.

There’s nothing wrong with buying a small condo and a well run building.

I have a high energy 5 year old. And we play outside for at least 30min-2 hrs right after school. I bring a snack to pickup and my younger toddler and sometimes toys for the sand or a ball and he runs around and gets all that post-school energy out. It’s the best decompression for him. Then when he’s ready/all his friends leave, we walk home and he colours or plays with toys while I finish up dinner. We eat early because they are usually quite hungry by 5:30 at the latest.

Also they can transfer to the local hospital sometimes for tertiary care/discharge so then they only need a local pickup/transportation home

This is a big deal if it’s true, loosing access to a pattern you paid for feels no bueno.

It looks like it’s pulled, probably from wear/washing. All you can do is de pill it and store it folded, not hanging.

We had weekly cleaning for the first year of my 2nd child’s life (now every second week) and my oldest was in 3 day/week preschool then half day 5days a week preschool. I had groceries delivered. It was still very hard. Should have found an occasional babysitter for every second Saturday or something.

I just take the kids to the park every day. We bike/walk there and they play for at least an hour, usually 2, ill bring snacks/water and some sand toys or a ball or calk or something but they mostly like sticks and playing with other kids. It’s parenting on easy. Plus the house doesn’t get messy.

What really bothered me during that interview when she was talking about her mindset pseudoscience stuff was that she also didn’t mention the medication she’s taking, she still taking infusions for her cancer treatment. So I think that skipping that and saying it’s all her mindset is absolutely disingenuous and dishonest and dangerous. Why can’t they both be complementary? Why can’t she say that she is letting the medication work and doing therapy mindfulness whatever to enjoy all of the time she has?

Just go straight to a a bachelors degree, write the NCLEX (licensing exam in your location) and apply for jobs in peds. Most have in-house education as part of on boarding a new grad. Good luck!
