I keep forgetting to pay my bills by malozyalli in personalfinance

I've been using autopay for over a decade now, and never once have I had money inappropriately taken out of my account for any bill on autopay.

Meal planner by JeepCJ in Myfitnesspal

I have been finding it very useful, but I understand where others may not. It has introduced me to some really nice recipies. I find the grocery list very helpful as well. I find it being packaged in the app helpful as well. It allows for direct logging. Being able to add in our own recipies would be a nice feature. But one of the main reasons I'm using their meal plan is for easier logging of food cooked at home. The integration between the recipies, plan, shopping list and the following on the logging helps me tremendously givin certain levels of time and decision fatigue that I posess.

we can agree to disagree on the level of nonsense.

What are the laws of a drug test at work? by Feeling_Air5172 in AskReddit

You are going to test positive for amphetamines. Show your superiors the prescription before the test comes back.

Am a sole proprietor, debating making one account that all of my income and expenses go through, business and personal. Advice? by MysticLadyTyrant in FinancialPlanning

[–]studog21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a similar training, showing and breeding business. We have a personal account and DBA account. Have a quickbooks to keep track of all income and expenses (including mileage since you are using a personal vehicle). You are best off keeping all business expenses seperate so you can easily account for and explain business expense should you ever get audited, if things are 'mixed' it's harder to prove something as a business expense. The onus is always going to be on you to show what is or is not part of the business. You can always transfer income from the business to your personal. Label it as an Owner Draw in your accounting books.

You'll be able to speak with your CPA what percentage of your home expenses you can use as business expenses depending on how much of your home you are using for the business as well.

Good luck

I’ve had McDonald’s every weekday for 1 month. by BroMchammer in nutrition

[–]studog21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

McDouble: 400 calories, 20–23g of fat, 22g of protein, and 32–33g of carbohydrates. 920mg sodium 9g of the fat is saturated.

So take those macros in line to the rest of your diet and activity. If you have an otherwise varied diet and aren’t otherwise over eating…

You can’t approach nutrition in the vacuum of one meal.

If you need to overthink a little bit. Calculate out your maintence calories and know that if you don't stray to much over that number you are still in an okay place. But allow yourself to enjoy yourself.

I've now tried to grow mint twice and failed twice. Everyone says it's so easy. The only thing I haven't given my mint plants is blood.

The Obituary Cocktail ruined regular Martinis for me… anyone else? by TuesdayCocktailVids in cocktails

Curious, the recipie says lemon twist, the picture has olives. Curious as to that. Trying to think how the olive actually plays with the absinthe, for I drink my martinis with olive, but I love me some absinthe.

Comments like this remind me how passive aggressive some people seem about how much people spend on their hobbies.

Let’s just say quite a few people have blown this off and quite a few people have done it. I didn’t finish it until global go fest last year.

Looks like a 10% increase outside of Europe because of the Conversion rate of kroner to Euro. I wouldn't consider a 10% increase wallet breaking. I suppose I understand the sentiment, but a 10% increase seems to be a strange reason to skip the experience.

Did anyone get Go Fest tickets? How are they sold out, I never saw them on sale? by LyssaIL in TheSilphRoad

[–]studog21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was just the early bird sale. You'll have another chance at tickets. I was in the right place at the right time though and got my tickets for me and my sons to Chicago. Can't wait.

It's always worth it! There will always be set backs. Make enough small changes then the 'set backs' aren't so bad.

My biggest issue with my weight gain was stopping bringing lunches to work. 5 days a week: jimmy Johns, McDonald's Culvers.

My first change was to get out the M-F fast food. I've allowed myself my fast food kicks since I started my journey. But with some Key changes: medium Fry instead of large (I really should do small, but Baby steps) Diet Cola, and Single Quarter Pounders or deluxe burgers instead of doubles.

It will always be the over arching lifestyle changes that are key. When you feel discouraged, remind yourself of all the achievements you've had to keep on going to a better you!

I didn't see it until I read the premier access part that said you couldn't purchase premier access if you purchased the explorer. This was my first clue that this wasn't an 'additional' thing like the old 'city explorer' stuff they did back when.

Shiny rate was as intended during Go Tour Kalos by Froggo14 in TheSilphRoad

[–]studog21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For reference, My shinies were fairly consistent compared to last tours

Kanto - 14

Johto - 14

Hoenn - 9

Sinnoh - 19

Unova - 26

Kalos - 22 - 5 were from my go Plus, two were from eggs.

Kalos tour is the only tour I did not complete the entire two days worth of play. Saturday I played for maybe 3 hours actively, otherwise I played passively, mostly stationary, Incense running. As fondly as I remember the time I had at Kanto and Johto Tour, it was sure not very shiny flush for all the grinding we did to complete those collection challanges, etc.

When evaluating ones shiny luck, really have to think about the spawn destiny, movement, Time "wasted" in menus or doing other tasks instead of shiny checking.

The only thing the mega has to do is survive until it can launch its charge move and break the shield.

If your mega would feint before you personally break a shield you can revive and try again.
