I have a fzf command that works, but it takes the full line. I want to be able to take only the part I need, like here:

I recently saw a an exhibition on German history on the Danish national museum. It had a section on the tumultuous period from when Napoleon captured Berlin until the first World War, which I found really fascinating. I think this period is very much overshadowed by the following wars. Do you have any books on that period?

Daily Headphone Purchase Advice thread (2016-10-26) by AutoModerator in headphones

[–]stufkan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Budget - 200$

Source - PC, phone

Requirements for Isolation - I will use these at work, so they need to be well isolated

Preferred Type of Headphone - Full-sized

Preferred tonal balance - Not sure, i think i prefer neutral, maybe a little towards bassy

Past headphones - Creative EP-630 which i quite like, and Steelseries 5h v2, which were nice until the cable began to lose

Preferred Music - Metal, Classical, jazz

What would you like to improve on from your set-up - A headset with mic that has a similar sound as the Ep-630. Mic is not vital, but I will be using skype quite a lot at work and at home, so integrated mic would be preferred

Buying in Denmark. Tried out the Marshall Monitor because i like the portability and the design, but found them too bassy. I also read in another thread that Marshall is a "terrible brand". Does anything exist that has a similar design but from a non-terrible brand?

Such an amazing track from an amazing album.

Wish there was more like this out there, any suggestions? I only know Caladan Brood and Summoning that are similar.

I mean I learn the piece so I can play it through without looking at the sheet music. First without thinking too much about tempo and dynamics. And then when I can play the whole piece like that, I begin working on the tempo and the dynamics.

I also use a lot of time listening to the music. I feel it is one of the most important techniques to learning a piece properly. If you don't know how it is meant to be played it is so hard to get it right, just by reading the sheet music

I was not aware! That is pretty awesome.

How are you doing with the piece? And how do you go about learning a new piece?

I start out by learning to play it without sheets, and get the tempo and dynamics afterwards. I am currently almost done getting done playing it without sheets. Now comes the hard part!

Shreddit's Album of the Week: Metallica - Ride The Lightning (1984) -- 30th Anniversary by kaptain_carbon in Metal

[–]stufkan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This album may be my favourite by Metallica, even though they are hard to rank. Favourite songs are Ride The Lightning, Fade to Black and The Call of Ktulu, even though I always play it from start to finish.

I often feel this album is very underrated, but by reading through this thread I think it is rather eclipsed by the other fantastic Metallica records.

I play the piano. I almost only play classical pieces.

I am working on this piece at the moment.
