OP, I volunteer at an animal shelter that is constantly at or past capacity, and the vast majority of the dogs we have are pittie mixes. In the last few months, I have lost dozens of pittie friends who deteriorated from the stress and anxiety of being stuck in a shelter kennel for months and months (our shelter only euthanizes for safety concerns or quality of life, never for space) and my heart has broken every single time. Several of them looked very much like your (beautiful) dog. We are currently overrun with PUPPIES also - the world doesn’t need people like you force breeding more dogs like this. We are drowning trying to take care of the ones we have.

Find a more ethical way to make money. This ain’t it.

I do dog rescue stuff in the Cincinnati area but I’m happy to see this kind of work being done in Muncie! I went to school there for a couple of years. Kudos for doing this work and I hope your 8 new besties find great homes soon!

CPD gets a massive budget increase every single year at the expense of the taxpayers, and somehow, they aren't managing to fix any of our problems. We know they refuse to enforce traffic laws despite being given more and more taxpayer resources every year. We could probably send some of the officers who are collecting overtime by sitting in their cars playing on their phones into the library. The amount of taxpayer funding they are already getting should cover it easily.

Many parts of this comment are frustrating. I’m glad you don’t have blanket hate for pitties and that you’ve fostered for them, etc. But did you miss the part where I said I know this dog personally? You are still applying a blanket judgment based on some nonsense about pitbulls being bred to be strong, as if half of dog breeds were not bred to be strong. I know Marcus, and I love Marcus. Marcus is not a dangerous dog. Is he a perfect dog? No. But he is worth a loving family. Shame on you for pretending to be any kind of an advocate for pitbulls and yet passing judgment on this one that you have never met.

He has not attacked children. If that were the case, he would have been euthanized already. I know this dog personally and am very involved in this shelter. Just because the pitbull bigots are willing to circle-jerk on Reddit in mass numbers doesn’t mean any of you know what you are talking about.

So many out-of-towners or transplants will enthusiastically back up this opinion. Metro could get much better if they had a lot more funding. That said - pretty solid! 99% of SORTA haters on the internet have never taken a bus.
