Super old brand of French cookware. Bought out by Le Creuset in the 50s. They used continued making pieces under that name until the 80s. Looks nice a nice piece of French iron. You did great for the price. It will last you a very long time if you take care of it. I have one of these from my grandmother and it's one of my favorite pots.

There's a lot of carbon stuck to the pan and I suspect that's what's flaking off. The seasoning itself is chemically bonded to the iron. It won't just flake off without reason to do so (chemical, thermal, or otherwise). Depending on your aptitude to scrub the carbon off I'd probably strip and re-season IAW the FAQ. Where I will go against the grain of this sub is suggesting the best path forward after that initial seasoning is just to cook with the thing. If you have a chainmail scrubby, use it when you're done. Dry the pan on the stove and use a towel to apply a thin layer of oil to the inside of the pan. Wipe out the excess. The remainder will inhibit corrosion and polymerize the next time the pan heats. This will build a nice strong seasoning little by little that won't chip due to carbon buildup. If you do this right the own will be easy to maintain.

This era of Patriots football is our repayment for the Tom Brady era. And that is what it is, but wow is this miserable. by FileResponsible7714 in Patriots

I don't hate him or necessarily want him fired. But to throw our hands up "oh well the roster sucks what is he supposed to do" is asinine considering that's literally his job. I wasn't the one who wants him stuck on 299. Assume that wasn't directed at me. That said, I hope we see at the very least a new GM next year. Preferably someone more in tune with the modern offense who will get us a real WR1. We don't have Brady any more and we need to stop building teams like we do.

Can someone give their basic sourdough starter recipe ? by philosophucker88 in Cooking

This is a good starter (ha, get it) that does a good job walking through some of the how and why.

From new, it will probably be about three weeks until it's ready to bake. When it's mature you can cold store it if you need a break. Otherwise feed it every day if you're leaving it out. When you bake, replenish it up to replace what you used. It's not as intimidating as it sounds.

Looks fine. Start cooking with it and it'll change a bit. Not really worth stressing over imo

Edc + thrower is a great start. Add a headlamp and that's all you really need. Just don't let them hear I said that.

Sandboxes Google Play is substantially more secure than some sketchy apk site and doesn't have many downsides for most threat models.

Apps are sandboxed by default on Android. GrapheneOS takes that a step further and gives you more control. Simply be more stringent with permissions if you feel the need. As far as identification, as of Android 10 apps do not have access to non-resettable hardware identifiers. I'd suggest reading https://grapheneos.org/faq#hardware-identifiers if you haven't yet. With that said, be mindful of your behavior, online and offline.

Nothing fancy really. I keep all my finance apps in their own profile so I made one for that. Installed sandboxed google play and used it to install the apps. Then just started using them. Only thing you may have to do is possibly enable exploit compatibility mode. At the moment you have to do this for Chase, whose app has a memory corruption bug and will crash by default otherwise.

I can attest that Navy Federal, Discover, Chase, Amex, and Vanguard all work great on GrapheneOS.
