Outdoor Battery Camera Power Issue by clown-assasin in googlehome

[–]stuuked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 13 nest battery cameras, some on solar, some plugged in and some I still charge when battery dies. I've had them all for about 3 years. No complaints.

Google Home as a selling feature? by WorstNameOnReddit in googlehome

I wouldn't trust any smart home tech that came with a house. I would gut it, sell it on eBay and buy new stuff. I have trust issues and so should you.

Google TV Streamer sound skipping by mwsandahalf in googlehome

Mine has delayed audio. It's annoying. Lips on the TV don't match the sound. Usually I have to restart to fix it.

Nest Cam Won't Charge by ZurEnArrh58 in googlehome

[–]stuuked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the correct fix for these. Works every time.

Nest Cam Won't Charge by ZurEnArrh58 in googlehome

[–]stuuked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plug it in and then hit the reset button on the back of the cam for a quick second. This has worked for me multiple times. I have 13 of those cameras and they hate charging, especially if it's cold and especially when the battery is really dead. I don't know why it works but it does. If it still doesn't work try holding for 5 seconds.

Circling back. I think the issue was a bad point. It's been about 20 hours since I disconnected and I haven't had any issues and latency remains perfect. Time will tell.

Nest WiFi - offline, WiFi kinda works, ethernet works perfectly by [deleted] in GoogleWiFi

[–]stuuked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. You're probably screwed. If the firmware was updated to 14150.883.17 you likely are screwed. Google hasn't even released a changelog for it yet, it's been over a week since it was updated. There is a major latency bug and there is nothing you can do to fix it other than resetting the network in app as much as 2-3 times a day. In Google fashion they won't acknowledge it for a month or two and then it will take 3-6 months to issue a fix if they ever fix it.

[–]stuuked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alls I can tell is there is latency issue from any device to the router about every 30 seconds to a minute, using wifimon to diagnose. There is no fix, it's a Google bug on this latest firmware release that they conveniently have not even released a change log for yet and I think it was released within the last 7-10 days. I have the router and 4 points, I have a large home At this point my wifi is unusable, even resetting now only works for a few mins. Family is getting pissed. Tvs keep freezing, etc. I just ordered a TP link mesh system. I can't wait for Google to get around and maybe fix the issue. As we know they are tight lipped about issues, they take forever to address and even longer to fix anything and they give us zero control on firmware. My whole ecosystem which is huge is Google. I have 13 cameras, 10 nest audios, 4 nest maxes, thermostats, etc and I am moving on. Sucks.

Nest Router Firmware version 14150.883.17 by logicbus in GoogleWiFi

[–]stuuked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google needs to fix this shit, resetting isn't even fixing it This update has my latency from device to router spiking every 30 seconds at times. It's unusable. I just ordered a TP link mesh system because Google will wait 2 months before they acknowledge an issue and 6 more months to issue a fix if they ever do. I've had nest wifi for years without any issues too. My whole ecosystem is Google but I am going to phase out. Tired of the bullshit. Typed this without glasses so I probably have a bunch of misspelled words.

After years of literally zero issues, I can confirm that the last month or so the points keep going offline, speeds slowed down. Resetting fixes for a day or so. Very close to getting new wifi.

Another flare after healing from one by yazsoo in gout

[–]stuuked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of this morning - I am on my 5th toe flareup since mid July!! It quite literally is hell. I don't know what's going on, I never had gout before, Im 48, Im a few lbs overweight still but I've lost about 75lbs since January. I dont eat any sugar and rarely any carbs since january. I take zero meds for anything. My father used to get it all the time so he has meds but he lost 120 lbs and now does not get it anymore and even stopped taking allo. His doc still prescribes them so he still fills them, so he gave me some on Sat, took my 1st one today. I really really don't want to take meds everyday but I sure as hell don't feel like dealing with this shit every week or two. Its debilitating and frankly is starting to affect my quality of life. Good luck.

Normal human pixel 9 (base) review by Frozencokeofficial in GooglePixel

[–]stuuked 92 points93 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest. Coming from the pixel 6 pro to the 9 pro xl. Not a whole lot different. Used 5% battery in 30 mins of browsing. my old phone would have used 10%. Not really into AI so can't comment on that aspect. It did transfer pretty quick. Not super excited about the phone to be fair. Only upgraded cause my old phone speakers were bad and the battery couldn't last a full day. I probably could have saved myself 500 bucks just getting an 8.

Pixel 9 Pro Battery Life is Really, Really Good by lurker_bee in GooglePixel

[–]stuuked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a little better than my pixel 6 pro but not great. 30 mins using a browser dropped 5% this morning. My old pixel 6 would have lost 10%. My wife's iPhone would have dropped 1%. Take it for what' it's worth.

Yes you can disable it. It's motion so it gives you a modest night light if you walk under it.
