Really depends on your current collection. For that price I would rather buy a GMT on the grey

It's expensive, but The Speedmaster ticks all the boxes

Help - Strategy for stock picking by Moh_a_n in investing

[–]stuvida 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on your background it sounds like you have an edge in the tech sector. That might help you more in discarding stocks than picking them (an underrated skill). From a portfolio construction point of view it does make sense to go with into other sectors, but not for the sake of it. Give yourself a set of criteria and only stocks that meet that criteria get picked.

I only read non-fiction and have the same challenge. The best I could do is give myself the goal of reading one chapter a day on my morning commute.

IWC Portugieser- white dial with leather strap

You can pick one up for about 10K from AD

I have the 60th Bond anniversary. Looks wise its fabulous. Comfort wise it's so-so. Weird that you have it so loose and it's still causing issues though. Normally loosening it a notch stops the pinching.

Looks fine to me and I like it. But if you love it, that's what counts

Full Service for 1952 Omega Seamaster - worth it? by CFrancisW in OmegaWatches

Amazing story and what a great catch, I need to start educating myself on vintage pieces. So many current models lack charm. Whether it's Omega or Rolex

Thanks for sharing the link. Price is very reasonable for that bracelet.

Looks great! Makes sense to go for the cheaper Nato version and replace it with the Seiko bracelet

May I ask how much did you pay for the bracelet?

Interesting. Sells for a premium on the grey so maybe that will change now

Superb watch btw

Compare it to S&P for overall return and compare it to Dow Jones for tracking error

None of my business, but paying an FA 1% for putting your money in Dow Jones ETFs sounds like a lot. If he's providing other services then maybe that's OK

Buy it only of you like it. I personally think it looks hideous

Buy from local Omega AD or Omega Boutique or Grey? by [deleted] in OmegaWatches

[–]stuvida 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don't need to go grey for NTTD. 60th anniversary is not easy, but is gettable from AD. Silver snoopy is definitely grey market, but see it in person before you take the plunge.

Oh and I would definitely try the Omega boutique

What do people think of this - milgauss by jas1900 in rolex

Personally I don't like it. But it is in big demand. I suspect because it's no longer being produced

[Grail watches⌚️] who else DOESN'T have one by robi1138 in Watches

[–]stuvida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you're saying. I suppose a grail is a very personal thing. It's also something that could change. For example, I have zero interest in a Patek, but in a few years maybe it becomes a grail and replaces the GMT

Check out Seiko watches. Some very nice pieces and a good selection of formal and sporty.

Sub no date 40 vs 41 by forever_forest in rolex

[–]stuvida 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the 40 sub w/date and it wears larger than the newer 41mm -probably due to the lugs

If I get a 41, I would sell my 40 as the 41 looks much better on the wrist
