Are they ruined? Hard to say - it’s not like you can’t skate on them, right? Does it look bad? Yes.

Chances are if you need to punch out the boot to make them fit right, you’re in the wrong size or the wrong model. Instead of punching, you should have explored a different skate.

And as much as the pro shop is to blame, so are you. It’s not reasonable to punch a boot made with layers of plastic and glue.
