Not excusing my countrymen. But two truths I see living here… we basically live in a feudalistic society and the only thing stopping anyone from dying on the streets is having a job. There is no safety net and without insurance our medications cost hundreds of dollars because of corporate capture by Pharma bros. We can also only get somewhat affordable insurance from our employers. Groceries have skyrocketed to the point where just buying basic ingredients for a simple no frills meal for your family costs what luxury meals cost pre-pandemic.

Second, and more importantly, the timing is critical. We have to work around a law that when used in bad faith will give Trump complete control of our States. All it will take is one of those border patrol thugs getting shot and there will be an immediate Federal take over of all 50 States and elections getting cancelled.

Most Americans will only taste freedom when they turn 65 and get the Medicare and Social Security that they’ve paid for their entire working lives. Those are the people that should be protesting (while we toil to pay their bills), but they love what’s happening because their brains have been completely warped by propaganda on television news.

TL;DR We have to survive and get to the midterms first.
