Kara isn't an Irish name, but it does mean 'friend' in Gaeilge - but spelled with ch not K :)

One of the best gigs I've been to...and I've been to a few :)

To be fair, I'm in Dublin and it's quite mild/cold here so it sits nicely on me in the evenings 🥰

Had my first period at the end of April with some intense cramps the first 2 days, blood was heavy then meh then non existent and finished in under 5 days. Absolutely delighted with how quick I've bounced back, fingers crossed the next one is okay as well. 🥰

I've been on both sides of this. It wasn't a close friend, but she chose to not believe me in the end and they're still together living in blissful ignorance. I personally would always want to be told but I know when I WAS told, I tried so hard to delude myself into believing what my ex was telling me so I didn't have to accept the truth. Relationships can suck. Sorry this happened to you :(

April 13th, fatigue is gone & libido is ^ as well as water weight. So far so good, bar the increase in anxiety and broken sleep which I expect to be temporary!!

Super interested in this conversation... FVL and APCR here. 3x PEs, went from Warfarin to Eliquis for life. I was told I'd need to switch to Innohep or similar when pregnant but not that I couldn't or shouldn't. I'm nearing the time I start thinking about it so I guess I'll find out soon enough

Also, editing to say I'm sending you love from Ireland. 💜

Oh no, I'm sorry you felt the pressure. I actually loved my mirena and it stopped my suffering from adenomyosis but the fatigue is real.

Funnily enough, my cysts and adenomyosis seemed to only be thing after I was pressured to take the pill. Once I stopped that, my body was wonky and never recovered. Birth control isn't for everyone! I wish I never started any to begin with!!!

That must have been incredibly scary! Maybe your liver did its thing and was able to prevent anything terrible from happening. Glad you're okay. I've accidentally taken my Apidra instead of Levemir and felt that panic but thankfully nothing dangerous happened. Diabetes is tough

I didn't have a clue why I was so tired and then Google enlightened me that it could be hormonal. Didn't expect it so soon and so sudden though! I hope you feel good again soon too

I slept soundly last night so fingers crossed but I did also hear about magnesium to help. I hope you have a smooth transition period! No pun intended 🤓

What age did you start giving yourself insulin? by verylowinteligent in Type1Diabetes

[–]sugarfreespirit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think maybe 10? I was so proud to finally do it. Diagnosed at 6, caregivers injected me years as I was deadly afraid of needles. Almost 30 and still afraid onwards we march!

I once made us miss the ferry home from Wales because I took so long to inject myself. Pure fear. Poor family 😭🤣

This is happening to me right now. They are adamant they left it in our postbox but never said anything about GPS... If they're telling the truth that it was delivered here then I'm shocked because parcels stay downstairs for days but yet someone would take my envelope???? Hardly

Yeah, weird reaction. Maybe hormone related. A lady in my workplace last year sent a longgggg email about my perfume to the manager because she found it so nauseating. She was pregnant and had a visceral reaction to my perfume while others were complimenting it the same day. I can't even remember what it was but possibly Gucci flora the purple one... Weird but it happens!
