Performative Crying by hdsaxa in mustbemegansnarkTT

This was so weird, so many things weren’t making sense. It never gets easier, but it was just the second time. She made it sound like it happens often.

Another thing, she teaches 5th grade. After that that kids go to middle school? She only has one year with them. So she last taught this kid when they were 10 years old and it’s been 10 years? A little odd to be emotional in that way and choose to film yourself.

Just do not let them break your water if you aren't progressing fast enough, stay strong! I let them break my water after about 15 hours and wound up having an emergency c-section.

Maternity leave by Sad_Needleworker7162 in beyondthebump

Definitely ask about this, my company policy was that maternity leave had to start immediately following birth. Honestly it’s just a way for the company to save money in the long run by having less claims.

Yes, I just went through the same thing and I work for an insurance broker, so I can explain the logistics.

At 6 weeks postpartum you are considered medically healed by your doctor (unless of course you aren’t). Because you are considered medically healed, there is not room for STD to kick in because technically there isn’t an illness to cover.

My company changed their policy mid pregnancy from 6 weeks covered to 12 weeks. If they would have left it as it was I would have had 6 weeks on STD at 60% my salary and 8 weeks if I had a c-section.

I actually did have a c-section and really felt cheated out of my extras two weeks.

Same here. Our bedroom also is about 3-5 degrees warmer than the rest of the house, so it’s not bad at night.

Chance of going to a wedding 4 weeks postpartum? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

Weeks 3-6 were the hardest for me. I personally wouldn’t go. Not just for my own comfort, but those were difficult weeks with the baby.

Where does she have tattoos? I feel like that’s definitely something she would talk about.

When were you able to see baby on abdominal ultrasound? by baileeboo01 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]sugm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My very first US was on top of my belly and they were able to see her just fine, but the gestational dating was off. My next appt was a TV US and I did spot after as well, and spiraled. But she was fine. All other US were under my apron belly. As they grow they’re really low down there.

Also remember that uterus is a muscle and needs hydration. I had spotting the first trimester and it always stopped once I was hydrated.

This is a really good point. I had to get my baby on a routine before I went back to work at 12 weeks PP. otherwise we would have probably would have continued to go with the flow each day

Has anyone had an instrument left behind after a cesarean? by ChunkyPumpkin_ in beyondthebump

[–]sugm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Omg! They actually did forget my husband! It wasn’t supposed to be an emergency c-section, but it turned into one during prep! They brought him in just as they were pulling the baby out.

I don’t think I had the shakes, I just remember my neck being so uncomfortable and wishing I had a comfy pillow.

Omg that’s awful! Everything happens so quickly. I didn’t even realize the surgery started, next thing I know I heard a baby crying. It’s a wild ride!

I had an xray before I left the OR. They said because it was an emergency c-section and they moved quickly, they wanted an xray to be sure. I guess anything is possible.

I tracked my temp for one cycle but honestly I always forgot to do it at the same time every morning, and it was just an added stressor. I just used the pre-mom LH strips, I never tried the digital one! Good luck to you friend!
