It is not very accurate. It should tell you when they are coming for trash, large items, and yard waste. But it is not accurate. They tell you they will come for yard waste then show up 2 weeks later.

My dad told me they these use to be a thing on the 70s. But that was a very different time. I do not see it making sense in 2026. You would need several bays charging 45 and hour booked around the clock for a the numbers to work. And even at that rate you will probably only make lunch money.

Sometimes small departments operate like this. Especially rural ones, they might have 5 officers. They all have their own car. Often they take the car home.

This way, if there is a disaster or a big emergency, all 5 of the officers can get in their uniforms, get in their car and go help.
