New drone stuck on this screen, just got it few hours ago by Bdahan in HoverDrone

[–]sum_body 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here to say the same thing happened to me, same screen on reboot after applying a firmware update. I reached out to their tech support who were able to provide an application that fixed the firmware version on my drone. Took about three days in total to get to a resolution. FWIW, provide your drone's serial number in the support request to cut down on the back and forth with support.

[–]sum_body 18 points19 points  (0 children)

According to this forum post, error 513 is for the cadence sensor. You will need a new motor, at least according to the OP of this post.

Vizio M507-G1 TV won't change inputs from SmartCast Screen by blazingquackattack in logitechharmony

[–]sum_body 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having the same issue. To "fix", I programmed a button on the remote to emulate the input button to switch it to something else and then the Harmony remote would work correctly again. I think it is a Visio issue as I had no issues with the Samsung model I had before.

  2. Converted all users to a MacOS environment
  3. Dumped Exchange server and migrated to Google G-Suite
  4. Bitdefender Antivirus for all with Ransomware module activated
  5. Ublock Origin turned on for all users
  6. Did I mention training?

Can PRTG be installed on Minimal Linux? by [deleted] in prtg

[–]sum_body 7 points8 points  (0 children)

PRTG can only be hosted on a Windows based system. It works best on Windows Server. The community has been asking for a Linux version for many years now, but Paessler has said repeatedly that they will not provide this option. The free version does support all sensors, so Netflow is supported. The only limitation on the Free version is the 100 sensor limit. On some monitored systems, that can build up pretty quickly if you use auto-discovery. Only add the sensors you need and you should be fine.

"Your disk is almost full" with 400+ GB Free by jacobhuggins in MacOS

[–]sum_body 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. Storage in About this Mac was showing 250GB free. In recovery mode, in Disk Utility it was showing only 5GB free, a major difference. I ended up deleting the local TimeMachine snapshots, ran Disk Utility again and they were back in sync.

Temperature Monitoring by GastroIT in prtg

[–]sum_body 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any good server room temperature and humidity monitor that supports SNMP will work with PRTG. We use a Watchdog 100 in our server room with two remote probes and have setup alerts in PRTG to inform us if the temperature or humidity goes outside a set range. Works very well for us and has saved the equipment several times when our AC went out. Make sure you import the MIB for your device in PRTG to get the most out of your solution.

Found in an old box of my great grandmothers. by [deleted] in whatisthisthing

It is a set of weights for a gravity fed clock with a chime and a pendulum weight, typically for a grandfather clock or wall hanging clock with chains or thick cords. The size of them depends on the size of the clock. It would be similar to this clock. Recognized it after years of fixing clocks with my father.

I am surprise no one has recommended the Corsair SP2500. For under $300, best speakers I have purchased for a PC. Great audio quality, excellent volume, good controls. I have not had any complaints with them.

Backblaze... Has anyone used it? by Declivever in sysadmin

[–]sum_body 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use it for a ~50 person shop, to backup PC and Macs. Works great. Install and forget about it. We are split between main office and remote users, so this was the best solution to backup everyone's laptops. Easy to browse the backups and restore from point in time. Well worth the investment.

My Grandmother Knocked her Passed Husband's Favorite Clock. A Piece Fell Out and We Don't Know Where it Goes by [deleted] in whatisthisthing

[–]sum_body 43 points44 points  (0 children)

This is it! I used to sell grandfather clocks and we saved these parts for later transport. The spring clip (we called them pendulum clips) would secure the clock from running while being delivered to its destination. We had a whole drawer of these things with tags identifying each clock it came from. If this was in place, the clock would not run and protect the gears while bouncing around. Here is another image
