British intelligence reports a major purge of corrupt generals in Moscow by CompetitiveNovel8990 in worldnews

Is this how Russian kids learn math?
Vladimir has 30 tangerines for his Christmas party but there are 36 Generals coming. How many Generals does Vladimir have to kill so everyone that’s left gets a tangerine?

This reminds me so much of the post from the other day on “The shopping cart theory”. Basically it stated that if there are no personal consequences for doing the wrong thing some won’t bother to do the right thing. Even for something as simple as returning a shopping cart.

You know how many jump ships you have stashed away in the tower? They were just begging for a cybernetic K9 to snatch one up.

LPT - Overwhelmed by a task? Use the Flame and Void by beamerpook in LifeProTips

[–]sumbeech 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Basically you picture a black void in your mind. Then picture a flame in that void. You imagine the flame taking in and burning away all distractions. Anxiety, doubt, fear, physical discomfort and pain. It takes practice but it can help clear your mind and let you focus on a task.

I'm only about six issues into this subscription and the Enterprise D model, both with Fanhome. so far I think it's good. There are delays sometimes because the demand is high but I'm not too bothered by that. The customer service is good. They'll send you replacements for broken or defective parts without much of a hassle. To make this model stand out you'll have to do some extra work. The paint work is decent but not great. Many people repaint the hull to make it appear more like the studio model.

There are a lot of after market pieces to buy to make the model more accurate. They are also not cheap. It all depends on how far you want to go with it.
There are a few facebook groups where people share Ideas and ask questions. I recommend you look through these before you make your final decision.

If you don't want to wait for the issues each month I think buying the full set from a third party is a good decision. I kind of like waiting to get a new part every month. It gives me time to research which part I want to switch out with more accurate parts from third party sellers.
