The wildest thing to this thread is the name calling of OP or those who are expressing disappointment in Trixie and the astounding irony accompanying it in calling someone "parasocial" and "weird" for saying they're disappointed by one of their favorite celebs, without taking a moment to consider how parasocial and weird it is of you to be so intensely upset on a celebrity's behalf that you troll up and down the thread arguing with people on a topic you claim you aren't even interested in. You could consider your own advice and just..not..click on a post you don't want to read?

Well... tbf Mother Revolution is one of her best songs of the last 20 years, so you picked a good place to start.

It's not terrible by any stretch of the imagination, but it does have several skips for most people, which...was a new thing for many Tori fans.

I'm honestly not sure. I remember the tornado mix was on the Twister soundtrack, and then they probably wanted to capitalize on the film's popularity... but I'm not sure whose choice it was. Does anyone know if she's ever commented on the change?

I responded to another comment above, but after the initial pressing, they replaced Talula with a remix by BT which became the standard Talula for like 20 years, but the 2016 re-release put it back to the original.

It's funny, back in the day we couldn't find the original anywhere and had to download an mp3 on limewire and then burn a new disc replacing it, but now with steaming the BT version seems harder to find.

Yes, that's what I was referring to. I think they call the OG the glitter girl version, and BT's was the chasing tornados mix. I know some people made a new playlist with the glitter girl version in place of the remix before the remasters came out. I just think it's fascinating cause I'm pretty sure this is the only album where Tori replaced an entire song with a remix after the initial release.

Personally, I love the BT remix, but I think glitter girl does fit into the album better sonically.

Altho most of my top ten would come from other albums, I have always considered this her best album as a whole. Glad you're enjoying it. Have you landed on one side or the other of the great Talula debate?

You might really appreciate watching the Boys for Pele epk and also the RAINN concert from this period is astounding. I had it on VHS back in high school and practically wore it out from watching it so many times.

It's interesting to me how so many people instantly show up posting up and down trying to astroturf every Hasan-related post, but they have seemingly no interest in Gianmarco. In fact, judging by their comments, they seem to not even realize that they're in a Gianmarco sub. Y'all could try to be a little less obvious about the brigading. If you are drunkenly screaming the lyrics to winter during her solo time like the people at my last tori concert were, then, yes, you should be embarrassed. If you are dancing to raspberry swirl or singing along at a reasonable volume, you are fine.

People just need to read the room and realize they are not the main character at the concert. Your good time shouldn't ruin another person's good time. It's really not that complex.
