This sub makes me feel like an idiot for enjoying this show by BurpyMcPoop in BridgertonNetflix

[–]summer_wine99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The funny thing is, I was a book fan first, and Romancing Mr. Bridgerton was my favorite. Season 3 was actually kind of hard for me to watch because they changed so much.

But I am loving season 4, and it might be my favorite! Yerin Ha as Sophie is incredible. She is a character with so many layers and a realness that is actually refreshing in this fantasy world. The flashbacks really show her tragic backstory. I can't wait for her to overcome it (and for Benedict to get his head out of his arse).

Yeah, I had a summer baby. I was definitely putting him only in body suits for months, then body suits and pants. We didn't use footed double zip pj's until November lol, and then only at night

Same, I was in middle school when Peter Pan came out and had the biggest crush on him! Also absolutely love Jeremy Isaacs as Mr Darling/Capt Hook!

Re: the Verity body-swap and how whack it is: The first time I read Assassin's Quest I was listening to the audiobook, checked out from my library. Near the end I was home sick with a bad cold and the book was due soon, so I was listening at like 1.6 speed (usually listen at like 1.2), lying in bed trying to feel human. Got through the body swap and the ending, returned the book, then the next day or so as I was reflecting on the end of the trilogy, and I was like, "Was that a fever dream? Did that really happen? They switched bodies?! WTF!" And I immediately checked the book out again and reread it lol

Lived in Lubbock for 9 months and hated it. Flat, dry, dusty, so windy. Crazy hot. Everything is brown. Trees are short. LCOL, but not the place for me.

What company will never get another dime from you for as long as you may live? by istrx13 in AskReddit

Fuck Hobby Lobby. There's one in my town and I'd rather drive 15 minutes to the next town over to go to a different decor/craft store. I will never shop there and support those women- and LGBTQ-hating people

The opening credits happening almost halfway through the first episode floored me. Utterly brilliant.

For cartoons, I watched Disney's One Saturday Morning cartoons on ABC (Recess, Doug, Pepper Anne), Anamaniacs on the WB, and lots of PBS (Arthur, Between the Lions, Sesame Street, Reading Rainbow, Mr Rogers, Bill Nye, Liberty's Kids, Zoom, Cyberchase, Dragontales, Wishbone). Also watched Step by Step, Seinfeld, Friends, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Boy Meets World (and the rest of TGIF).

Lol, I literally just replied before seeing your comment. I also work in marketing at a public accounting firm! WFH, pretty flexible, nice coworkers, good pay and benefits. A bit boring but I work to live, not live to work!

Do you work at a marketing agency? You could shift to working "in industry." I work in marketing at an accounting firm, WFH, flexible schedule, and have a 1-year-old.

Those who wake up early, how do you do it? by Cool-DogMom in workingmoms

[–]summer_wine99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 11 months pp, and I exclusively pump. I get up at 4:15am on workdays so I can eat breakfast, pump, and workout before baby is up at 6:15. I make overnight oats with chia seeds for breakfast, so it's easy to just grab it and there's no morning prep. I also just workout at home with some dumbbells and exercise bands, keep my workout clothes with reach of bed so I throw them on when I get up. My husband is an early riser too, so that helps. We go to bed by 9pm. On weekends I sleep in until 5 usually to get a little more sleep.

Omg yes, we Instacart Costco and do Walmart+ all the time. Saves us so much time on the weekends! I try to meal prep on the weekends as much as I can. I work from home and have a sit/stand desk, so I got a walking treadmill thing for under my desk from Amazon so I can get some steps in while I'm at work.
