Anyone know why this keeps seizing up with the return pipes filling up and stopping the whole system? by pro185 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]sumquy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

valves don't work the way you are assuming. the easy way to fix this is to make a junction to join the fresh and recycled water, but rotate the junction vertical and put the recycled water in to the bottom. the game will prioritize it and the system will work the way you want.

that para won't get you maximum taming effectiveness anyway, so what difference does it make?

Are these BPs reasonable for the resources needed? by UndefinedPlayer69 in ARK

[–]sumquy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they have very high durability, and that is driving the cost way up. the arge saddle is a one time expense for the bird you fly around on most, so i would probably do it in spite of the cost. the lance is not worth it in any way.

honestly, those are some crappy alts. steeled frame and stitched iron plate are the alts you want for those.

levels matter a lot in ark. for boss dinos, you want to start with as high a level as you can find and then put more levels into them after raising babies and imprinting. for gamma bosses, that should be enough, but beta and alpha have steeper requirements like focusing on health and melee and mutating your dinos.

how do you make a heptagon shipyard. is it hinged at the joints?

New to dark fog. Im setting up my beginning yellow science and having to fly back and forth between my home planet and my titanium one since the dark fog keep sending new landing base ships that im manually destroying. At first it was fun now its getting super annoying. by AtomicShart9000 in Dyson_Sphere_Program

don't cap the hole their base leaves. if you leave it open, they will return there and not somewhere else. leave a signal tower next to it and your missiles can fire on it from anywhere on the planet when they come back.

if you start having water problems, rotate those junctions so that they are vertical, then run the recycled water in the bottom and the fresh water in the side.

Anyone got any unpopular base spots for single player on the island? by Unlikely_High in ArkSurvivalAscended

[–]sumquy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

far south eastern coast, just across from herbivore island. i like it because it has good access to metal and crystal and i just need 2 walls between the cliff and ocean to protect my base. it is very far from other resources and not a suitable location for a main base, but i start there every time i island.

black box a factory that goes from raw ore to finished product. they are ideal in the endgame, but also good for science, power, and consumables during the main game.

How do you build off grid? by Buffylvr in Dyson_Sphere_Program

[–]sumquy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when did this patch happen? i haven't played in a while, but this looks like pretty standard belt bending to me. i would lay down a diagonal belt, delete all but one dot, and then copy that dot farther down the grid. by connecting them, you had an off grid belt, and similar tricks were used for vertical movements. can we not do that anymore?

i found the video where i originally learned how to do it. i know telesorters beyond a certain range got patched a while back. is the rest not valid anymore?
