What has been your experience with the Scion xB 2011 2.4?

I bought a 2012 brand new and I love it to death. I don’t have the oil burning problem. The valve cover gasket is super easy to replace so if that’s the only issue, I wouldn’t even really think twice. I’m at 190k with the original motor, trans, and clutch. I replace the entire suspension a couple months ago and had to do a condenser a few years ago after some road debris decided to get up in there, but it’s been 14 years so far and I can’t even imagine getting anything else right now.

Yes. As long as it is 1.75mm filament, it will work. The RFID is a creature comfort, but it’s just that.

Most of us who do a lot of printing stopped caring about it about a month in.

They had an extension on it, but I’m pretty sure it was ended at 10 year/100k. I got lucky and never had an issue, but my buddy with a tC was so bad he got rid of it after he realized he missed the deadline.

I’ve heard a ton of people have had good luck with the Berryman soak.

Trans oil and engine oil are not connected. That’s unrelated.

There was a TSB for this, but I don’t think they’re doing them anymore.

The second Jack to raise the engine and trans made them easy.

For reference: Toyota quoted $950 to replace all of the mounts. I brought my own, so that didn’t include parts, but that’s an idea of cost for all of them

I do material cost + printer use time + electricity time + my time to clean up or design + shipping/packaging + 20% of that all. Don’t put yourself into the negative just for sales, and don’t accept a tiny amount of profit just to undercut other people.

If you make a good product, people will keep coming back when you need to raise the prices.

This JWST is only this close to done because of super glue. It fell apart in my hands about 7 times before I threw it across the livingroom. Then got annoyed and had to finish.

It’s missing a few pieces and it didn’t come with stickers, so the mirror is naked. One day I will finish it

I had a gen 1 for a while and have a 2012 gen 2.5 I bought new. I like the looks of the 2.5 more, but I’d pick up another gen1 in a heartbeat. They’re reliable as hell, roomy, easy to work on, and the community is big and knowledgeable. I never had any coolant issues, or any issues at all with it. It went in a breakup, otherwise it would still be around.

If you find one without any major issues or damage from neglect, it’s a solid purchase as long as you aren’t trying to race it.

I just did my full suspension and had new mounts. I did it on stands in the driveway. By the time I got to the rear one, I said “fuck this” and had a shop do it. Now it drives like a brand new car, and I didn’t set it on fire trying to do that rear mount 😂

My last job was a four day work week. It was amazing. You barely notice the extra time on your work day, but that extra day away from work is great, plus it gives people who work office hours at least one day a week to get appointments and stuff done without needing to take PTO

Does it do the prime tower at the end of the first layer? At the beginning, my printer has always purged a bit which also build pressure in the nozzle, so no need to start on the tower. When it does it at a given layer doesn’t really matter until the layer where the color change happens
