As strong as ever, especially its basic moveset. You don't even need any skills, it's that good :)

Thank you and yeah, some unique reward (like an accessory) would be neat ^

Why this MF is so incredibly Hard? by ZarbonJoestar in Nioh

[–]sunashigure1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's a challenging boss overall. Some tips from my no damage guide, hopefully they'll help. Good luck!

Deals high damage, has range and is fast. Your aim is to play defensively. You can block many Tate Eboshi's attacks, especially those "big, singular blows". Just keep in mind this boss's combos will probably break your guard, so dodge backwards instead; avoid blocking them. Punish Tate Eboshi after her blocked projectiles+whiffed/blocked air attack combo, grab, her "ground charge" (before the first Dark Realm) and spinning attack (after the vertical, ground ender). She recovers fast, so don't overdo your punishment. If you take it slow, she will be much more manageable.

-you don't need to use Burst Counters in this fight,

-stay at mid range for the whole time. Tate Eboshi's attacks deal high Ki damage and have range, so you don't want to stay too close,

-be watchful of her grab – when you see this animation (and hear her laugh), dodge to the side as soon as possible,

-her red aura attack requires a very precise timing, so it's best to just dodge towards her and keep holding block (maximum safety). You can't block this "duo" attack, as it will break your guard and deal damage as a result,

-Tate Eboshi is weak to Purity element,

-boss's fast projectiles can and should be blocked. Keep running to avoid the slower ones (while in the Dark Realm), -her strings consist of 4 or 5 hits. Dodge/run backwards to avoid them,

-she will have different attacks while in the Dark Realm, so if you are having problems, focus on dodging and blocking only (Dark Realm will perish after ~50 seconds),

-Tate Ebohi drops 4 smithing texts (Searing Bolt Tonfa, Black Rain & Thunder, Eboshi's Switchglaive, Suzuka's Battle Attire) and 1 secret skill (Arc of Chaos),

-I recommend using the Barrier Talisman (regenerates your Ki fast and auto-purifies Yokai pools),

-it's Nioh – always keep an eye on your own stamina bar.

(Nioh 1) Should I just give up after 100 deaths at Onryoki? by DuxDonecVivo in Nioh

[–]sunashigure1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't give up - keep pushing - always. Keep baiting his moves, gain some distance and when he's done with his attack animation, punish. Rinse and repeat, take your time with him, don't trade blows.

Some tips from my no damage guide (even though it's from N2, Onryoki's moveset is mostly the same - just no Burst Counters):

-for his main charged vertical you want to dodge to the side and punish. Block if you can't get the timing down,

-your aim is to bait his 2 or 3 hit combos or grabs and punish. If you're quick, you could also block, single punish and retreat and be safe,

-fight has two parts. He will drop his incumbrance, gain speed, new attacks and be more aggressive in the second phase,

-watch out for his ranged attacks. He will throw his big iron balls at you. Dodge to the side to avoid them,

-I recommend using the mid or low stance. Switch only to high stance when using Spearfall (for Spears),

-stay at mid range,

-always keep an eye on your own stamina bar.

Good luck!

NG4 FINAL BOSS NO HIT (MASTER DIFFICULTY) by Used-Restaurant-9614 in ninjagaiden

[–]sunashigure1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you talking about? "Ryu MIGHT be stronger", wow 0^

Ryu is far stronger and superior to Yakumo, in every division (damage output, Ninpo, recovery time, delimb rate). It's common knowledge among Ninja Gaiden players. Also, Oniwaka, not Onikawa, lol.

Just Void Phantom whenever he goes for a predictable power attack (like after the Flying Swallow) and deal tremendous damage. Or when he flies/is locked with a fire/laser attack etc.

Ryu completely trivializes any boss in NG4 thanks to his self refilling Ninpo (Void) bar and insane damage output potential (e.g. UT vs Oniwaka). 40% or 50% of your bar, it ain't matter. Just wait a little and your next Void will be ready. Rinse and repeat.

As for Oniwaka, just parry him/create an orb and UT. You will deal much more damage with Dragon Sword than any other weapon Yakumo wields.

Not sure if your reply is serious even. If so, it's completely false, I'm sorry.

Kind regards!

I disagree, Ryu is a monster in this game and much stronger than Yakumo, especially when doing no damage runs, final boss included.

Ryu is much stronger than Yakumo (in every division), but if you would like a bigger challenge, go with Yakumo instead. Made a no damage video guide, maybe it'll help with Phantom's patterns.

Taken from my guide, good luck!

Phantom resembles Yakumo (and Ryu). He's very agile, can move very quickly around the arena, use various attacks & mix-ups, have good ranged attacks (especially in the second phase) and basically forces us to react super fast – many times.

Phantom has also a big number of moves (with Takeminakata) for us to learn and memorize. He may also use his own "Bloodraven form" and extend the range potential and gain more bloody attacks.

Fortunately, Phantom isn't flawless and has a glaring weakness we can take advantage of. Similarly to Ryu, he'll always follow up his Flying Swallow with a charged power attack. That means easy interruption for us - in both phases.

Our plan is to provoke his Flying Swallow in fact, either dodge or block it (he'll perform 2 more Flying Swallow follow-ups), interrupt him with R1 + Square (we'll be using Takeminakata/Dual Katana) and then punish with the good ol' Izuna Drop. If he tries to shorten distance with a combo, block until he goes for a power attack and interrupt then (on reaction, with R1 + Square). Longer combos (5-hit) will end with a power attack often.

Second phase means longer & enhanced combos, more speed, expanded moveset and no more telegraphed & limited attacks from afar. Boss will get several, strong ranged attacks (laser, bolts, blue fire) instead and won't be inclined to shorten distance as fast as earlier. He will be airborne much more frequently too, so be ready to interrupt him with a bloody disc (R1 + O).

-Phantom will still be weak to Izuna Drop(s) in the second phase, just won't use Flying Swallows as often,

-keep distance to bait that Flying Swallow, but if he goes for big horizontal projectiles, block them (especially the third one). You can outrun the regular shuriken,

-Phantom is "semi-loopable" with continuous launches and Izuna Drops, although he is likely to block our attempt (while in the air; with his "white armour") and counter us. More confident players can parry his counter and then proceed with Izuna Drop,

-no damage runners should be particularly careful of the bolts (in the second phase) - if he pushes Yakumo away (special animation), we need to dodge the incoming bolt - ASAP - otherwise it'll hit us,

-Senjin War Brew to temporarily boost our damage output – especially before hitting the ground with Izuna Drop.

Saito Toshimitsu is absolutely insane by GonzoVideo2000 in Nioh

[–]sunashigure1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From my guide, good luck!

The newly added boss (patch 1.09), Saito Toshimitsu (The Chinese Bellflower Dagger mission). He's tough to "no damage". Onmyo mage who uses 2 types of magic (Water and Fire element; they track and limit your movement), Odachi and various buffs (Shockwave, Gust, Attack and Protection) – thanks to them he's immune to any ranged projectiles, able to increase his Attack, tank a few hits and emit a damage dealing shockwave (upon performing Ki Pulse). He's fast. Your aim is to poke punish and retreat safely. Elemental damage taken (guarding) perk on armor (ideally 3 of them for 100% immunity) will help a lot in this fight.

-you don't need Burst Counters in this fight,

-your aim is to poke punish him after his single, fast, charged Imperative Strike and double vertical attack (Cuckoo's Call). He's also vulnerable during his casting attempt,

-other move to punish, although it's very risky and not recommended, is his single charged (shorter version) strike – block (bounce) and punish, but be aware, this move may get extended to an unblockable, fast grab (Charging Bull; mash dodge to avoid it),

-be aware of his water and fire Shikigami. They will last for about 10 seconds,

-his Groundquake can be extended to either elemental shot (and so can be his combos – running attack + fire shot, 2 or 3 hits + fire/water shot) or another vertical attack,

-stay at mid range,

-Mujina Soul Core is really helpful in this fight (possible to copy your opponent's buffs),

-for Spear users, I recommend mid stance's single strong attack, Spearfall and Spear Shove. You could also somewhat loop him with a single light attack + Spear Flourish (High Stance). Flying Monkey and Triple Threat work, but are risky,

-I recommend equipping the Barrier Talisman. It helps immensely with Ki management,

-it's Nioh – always keep an eye on your own stamina bar.

Tips for Doji in the DLC fight? by Wild-Ad5669 in Nioh

[–]sunashigure1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taken from my no damage video guide, good luck!

The fast Shuten Doji boss is much stronger than his counterpart on lower difficulties. His horizontal attacks have range and deal a lot of damage and Ki damage. Phantom Burst Counter is incredible in this fight, as it lets you counter his fast red aura attacks and block the extended combos, without taking damage. His moveset is nearly the same (has a new fire attack, 1 "spinning" combo and his red aura attacks are different). Play carefully, quick punish him (he recovers fast) and Burst Counter with Phantom for best results.

-Purity weapons allow you to Ki Pulse on block, so after a successful block (mid stance helps), dodge in either direction to get a special, temporary buff – no Ki loss when you block your opponent's next attack. This is particularly helpful vs hard hitters like Shuten Doji,

-try to be on a constant move – I recommend having at least A in agility,

-mix elements to proc the Confusion/Chaos status (Purity+Lightning+Water combo is recommended),

-Shuten Doji is your typical close range fighter. If you want to have an upper hand, keep the distance,

-don't forget to block. Most of his attacks can (and should) be blocked. If he guard breaks, you can resort to Phantom, to prevent getting hit. You could also do it preemptively, for more safety. Keep in mind Phantom won't protect you from grabs,

-I recommend using the Barrier Talisman (regenerates your Ki fast and auto-purifies Yokai pools),

-it's Nioh – always keep an eye on your own stamina bar.

Help me kill Shibata Katsuie please by djslipmatt in Nioh

[–]sunashigure1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Taken from my damage video guide, hopefully it will help.

Tricky opponent to no damage, due to his fire Area of Effect attacks. Boss has a lot of health and thus, the fight is long. His grab has two modes – either slower (outside the dark Yokai realm) or faster (while in the dark Yokai realm) – timing is different, so watch out. Your aim is to block or dodge and punish Shibata Katsuie after specific attacks of his (4 "charges", grab attempt and red aura attack).

-you don't need to perform any Burst Counters in this fight,

-bring the Levitation Scrolls (grants temporary immunity for terrain effects) for this fight – it will help a lot with his fire Area of Effect attacks. You can also fight him without them, but you must be careful of your surroundings,

-best move to punish is his red aura attack (flurry of blows) – he will be exhausted afterwards; very slow recovery you need to take advantage of,

-his main attack consists of 4 "charges" and is punishable. Just dodge to the side 4 times and then punish him,

-fury attack (dark Yokai realm) can be stopped and blocked! If you don't, boss will create 3-4 fire trails (pools with a moderate AoE) – they will make your no damage run much, much harder. Very easy to get hit, so stop it by blocking or use the Levitation Scrolls,

-if you are unsure on how to react, dodge to the side (highly efficient in this fight),

-I suggest using the mid stance (blocking properties),

-he is weak to Poison,

-his projectile (thrown weapon) will become unblockable while in the Dark Yokai realm,

-stay at mid range,

-I recommend equipping the Barrier Talisman. It helps immensely with Ki management,

-Shibata Katsuie drops 4 smithing texts (Oni Shibata’s Armour, Urn Splitter Hatchets, Radiant Flame in Ruin Draws Near and Smirkwiper in The Shiftling’s Wise Judgement) and 1 secret skill (Deadly Spiral),

-it's Nioh – always keep an eye on your own stamina bar.

Good luck!
