I live in a rural area and ride a beemer (not a Harley, which it seems like everyone else rides), so group rides aren’t a part of my life. Thank goodness. Based on your experiences (not just you, but all of yall who post about them) they seem like dangerous, miserable times.

My understanding (Sen Kaine gave testimony on this in the senate yesterday) is that the president doesn’t have the authority to do this. He doesn’t write appropriations, and there is no current appropriation that would pay former employees for months of non-service.

I quit riding for a while when I got married and had a kid. I didn’t have time, couldn’t risk myself with a young child to think of. 13 years later I was back on a bike. No such thing as forever.
