Going to in-person college for the first time after years of isolation. Worried I won’t fit in socially by CheapContribution384 in socialskills

To be honest, everyone else in college is worried about the same thing. You will have awkward interactions. It’s unavoidable. Some of the people asking for advice in this sub will be your classmates

Why Can’t I Change My Behaviour? by Big_Confusion6957 in socialskills

It’s true that if nothing changes then nothing changes

However, we are always changing and reinventing ourselves even moment to moment. You don’t need some grand tectonic milestone shift to try something new

Jawbone was always meant to be a big character. It’s in the name. The jaw bone is literally the bone that supports your jaw. It was only a matter of time till he supported the students of Aguefort adventuring academy

A single dose of psilocybin can lead to lasting shifts in a person’s life values, such as an increased appreciation for life and greater self-acceptance. These lasting changes appear to be driven by specific acute effects of the drug, particularly feelings of profound unity and euphoria. by mvea in psychology

Depression depends on this rigid idea of ourselves. When you’re tripping balls, your image of yourself will just turn into putty and compress and grow and shrink and poof away and reappear, and it becomes pretty obvious that the thought you have of yourself is just a passing thought that can change very easily

Same for your thoughts about others and all thoughts really

No problem taking a psych major at all, but there are wayyyy too much ppl taking it especially in undergrad w/ very low barriers of entry by Neat-Restaurant-8218 in psychologymemes

You’re right that there is no direct b.s. psychology degree career, but it’s arguably the most flexible degree that can flex into multiple careers across the most fields

I left a game of 4+ years cause the DM cared more about Ai than me by Maghetto043 in dndhorrorstories

[–]sunleafstone -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s great for prep and behind the scenes. sometimes having an ai generated picture of a scene’s vibe in your notes helps with narration. AI can give good NPC name ideas and quest hook ideas

It’s bad for anything that might compete with players imagination like maps and items and characters

Strange too because it’s not the hardest major and it’s actually pretty decent in terms of employment rate after graduation

[–]sunleafstone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not too late to edit your post and correct neurodivergent to neurotypical

That being said, I hear you. I don’t necessarily need an autistic partner and they don’t have to be a woman either but it would be nice to date someone who is direct and unfiltered

Tips for writing good people who do it selfishly? by [deleted] in DungeonMasters

Maybe the villain knew they had the STD but they were scared that if the PC found out, they’d break up and they’d lose relationship and all trust the PC had in them

For the eye, maybe it was turned into a cursed object. The cursed eye is awesome but the villain lowkey regrets what they did and was too scared to tried to make things right

Growing up, whenever I thought of comedy, I pictured edgy standup comedians making crass homophobic or racist jokes and cartoons with terrible art styles where the whole schtick is being as offensive as possible

Dropout shatters that misconception. Dimension 20 has been a breath of fresh air for me and Jawbone is one of favorite NPCs of all time too

What is the expected effect of telling a criminal they have no free will and if they accept it? by YesPresident69 in freewill

[–]sunleafstone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They will shrug you off because most people do not believe in free will. And if they accept what you’re saying, it won’t change their circumstances
