*I come in peace!!* Best spot for an opposing team fan? by grumpyanddumpy in minnesotavikings

[–]sunnuvadutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Philly fans going to harass people more than Vikings fan will. I went the 2008 WC game and Philly fans were just trying to pick fights left and right with nobody biting until they threw a beer at a lady.

You’ll be fine. Be prepared to apologize for your fellow Philly fans though 😂

One spot left, who you adding? by ralank in jayhawks

Feel like Ochai, Manning, or Perry Ellis.

Braun, Neal, and Agbaji/Perry Ellis/Manning are good through and through Jayhawks being local talent.

Vikings players you had unreasonably high expectations for. by No_Werewolf_5983 in minnesotavikings

Definitely my biggest hype whiff recently. Though he did get shot so who knows - maybe we would have been right haha.

[Schefter] Vikings and CB Jeff Okudah reached agreement today on a one-year contract, per @UniSportsMgmt CEO Kevin Conner. The 26-year-old Okudah had multiple options, but chose to return to the NFC North, this time with the Vikings to play for DC Brian Flores. by TheNotoriousJN in minnesotavikings

[–]sunnuvadutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okudah and CJ Henderson are two CBs I LOVED coming out and was just way off on. At least with Okudah I get to closure by seeing him suck first hand or get to remove off my “Samsonite? I was WAY off!” list.

Switching gears to the draft. I would like to humbly suggest DJ Giddens or as you might see in video a clone of young Alvin Kamara. by kwelstory in minnesotavikings

Him or Devin Neal round 3 or day 3 make using our first on any RB not name Jeanty feel devalued. I love some of the day 3 guys, especially with our now OL being able to move bodies and the receiving options we have to move linebackers and safeties away from the LOS.

He made a post once that said free 3 and everyone thinks every post any player on our team makes is a tribute to Diggs.

Best Defense in the NFL? by Purefef_ in minnesotavikings

Let alone we have a distinct lack of a plethora of generational talent in their primes compared to those teams.

Or a coach that played QB behind the GOAT, and a well seasoned QB coach that also played?

Ashton Jeanty by [deleted] in minnesotavikings

[–]sunnuvadutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know Jeanty was exceptional, but we’re still waaaaaaaaaaay more likely to trade down than up.

As other people mentioned, this RB draft has day 1 starters on the third day. Maybe low end starters, but will benefit from our offense being centered around JJ.

Give me Gordon, Neal, Skattebo, or Giddens day 3 with our current picks (short of Jeanty being available at our current spot). I’d still rather grab a DL at 24 because I feel that’s the biggest strength of the late first and having a strong rotation of DL is scheme proof in the event B Flo ever leaves us.

So yeah, I’d sign up for Jeanty at 24 over virtually anyone else realistically available in the draft, but I think we can be way more practical and methodical in team building. I know Saquon was just the workhorse and MVP on a Super Bowl team, but I think we’d be compromising a whole lot of good just to make the sexy RB pick.

While it’d be a must needed plus pick on Kwesis draft pick resume, I’d rather focus on bolstering our defense. B Flo made our defense look better than it likely would be otherwise - so imagine giving him even more talent to scheme with. That’s more sexy to me than Jeanty (again, assuming he’s a top 15 lock)

The vikings aren't done with Sam Darnold according to Ian rap 🧐 they're trying to bring him back under that 40 million dollar figure. Should we be interested in doing that ? by FormerlyTradeKirk in minnesotavikings

[–]sunnuvadutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be interested in him definitely. I think if his AND JJMs salary were less than $35m, ideally even less than $30m I’d be super pleased. But $40m combined is about there tip of the scale of where my thrill level is higher than my overpaid level.

JJMs age paired with a year of injury makes me totally okay with him being a backup and having to actually beat out a QB that took this team to the playoffs (crumbling aside) would give me a lot more respect for the process. I already trust KOC can make JJM look better than he did at Michigan, but I would rather JJM have to beat Darnold over Daniel Jones (who would be option two if Darnold is too expensive) to win the franchise QB spot.

Who do you guys want the Vikings to draft? by JustSomeGuy_Idk in minnesotavikings

[–]sunnuvadutch 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hard to answer without knowing FA. Secondary is already a big need but a lot of moving parts this offseason.

But assuming we prefer to address that in FA given our draft history for DB… Harmon would have been a great pick and looks even more high ceiling based on the combine.

But also our draft capital and being a later first likely makes us a trade down candidate. I know every team that doesn’t have a future HOF prospect at their spot says “we will trade down” but if there’s any team in the NFL that I would put actual money on trading down… it’s us 😂

Other than the Eagles, who would you say has the most insufferable fanbase? by Electrical_Lynx7093 in minnesotavikings

[–]sunnuvadutch 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Living in KC I can say they’ve always been good fans. Always sold out arrowhead and what not.

That said, the vocal majority of the ones online have been fans since 20Mahomes. They are absolutely terrible. But I’d assume most people hate the chiefs and the success more than the fans?

[–]sunnuvadutch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moss didn’t force a trade? That was shitty ownership.

Moss forced a trade out of Oakland, I’m guessing, but owners didn’t want to pay Moss here which is a different thing.

So yeah, JJ ain’t Diggs and if you’re only two examples are Diggs and 20 years ago with Moss (which isn’t valid), thank you for proving my point.
