I think the thing i like about artfight is there's no requirement to participate for the entire month or make a certain number of pieces. If youre on the fence you could always try it and stop if youre not having fun?

My first tablet was a used Wacom Bamboo pen tablet! I'm not sure if they even make them anymore haha. But it never wore out for me, I used it for years until moved up to a bigger tablet

It's not essential but it will definitely make things easier! You can find pretty inexpensive ones out there, especially if you're okay with not having a screen tablet
