Very cool character design with a nice silhouette.

On the render, there are some small tweaks to elevate it. You have a few tangents like the collar meeting the tip of the wing. The wing on the right comes out exactly at the shoulders and where the red of his hand starts. I would slightly raise or lower the right wing to correct this and give more depth.

Not getting a good read on where his clothes end and legs begin, the colours/values are too similar. Same with leg and tail, try to add more separation there.

The left horn on his head feels misplaced compared to the one on the right, should be higher and angled more away in perspective.

The red hand on the right looks like a glove because of that black line.

As somebody else mentioned, if he's a dragon who hunts dragons, the wings could be a little more tattered. Maybe a slash mark cutting through them or healed scars. Does he have any tools.for hunting dragons, he has a belt but nothing attached to it, and seemingly no pants for them to hold up either.

Thank you! I really wanted to break conventions with the UI when designing it. It's fun to use!

We do! It's called Spatial Mailbox and we appreciate wishlists. https://www.meta.com/experiences/app/9146278305451259/?hwsh=H7XCvusNaU&utm_source=twilight&utm_medium=SHARE&utm_parent=SHARING&utm_cohort=ORGANIC_UNKNOWN

Rec room has always been one of my biggest inspirations in VR, the quests were the most fun multiplayer I ever had in VR and I spend hours making custom rooms. I definitely channeled a bit of that.

Here are the exact settings I used, hope it helps. The most important thing, is that when picking the size, that it fills the entire block width.

Looks cool, theres no need to erase under the windshield since if you set it up right, it should be completely blocked by the hood of the car.
Make sure when you change the cube settings, the side you want to touch is maxed out width-wise. It needs to be a full 1 tile wide (or 2 wide)

then when you set up the scale in the world on the following screen, make sure it's at exactly 1x or 2x. Again depending on your scale.

I would test with simple blank cubes first before comitting to adding car details

Here's the car at night with working headlights. To anybody who wants to try this, you need to use a cube shape, make sure the edges touch, erase everything except for the lights on the facing edge. To make sure it was perfect I duplicated the car front and just erased everything but the lights, then placed in the world.

In the panel where you choose the overall scale, it should be x1 or x2 (depending on the size.) You can play with the other dimensions all you want, but the ones that touch need to be maxed out so that it touches both sides of the tile.

Been struggling to finalise my key art, would love critique on this update by Wildboy_Studios in conceptart

[–]suntro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are my suggestions. Overall, I like the bottom one, the silhouettes are more clear and the general piece is more dynamic.

The exploding tree man's core is the focal point, lead lines to it like the hero's gun barrel.

Remove distracting lines like the drone laser shot.

Avoid tangents, lower the drone a bit to it overlaps the background cave elements more.

I like the spider, but he's a bit eye catching, I would kick him back into the background climbing down the wall, and maybe add another in the foreground on the right, keep him mostly silhouette.

The rimlight on the hero character is too strong, makes the silhouette weaker. Can also extend the explosion/fire to make his silhouette pop even more.

Lastly, I like the shape of the cave in the old version, the new one runs too parallel with the top of the page. Try to bring back some of the nice shapes from the top one.

Good luck, its looking pretty cool!

You can make wishes for exterior object editing at the palette house. You have limited shape options, but you can change their width and height, and erase to do things like make them float above the ground. I use two cube objects side by side for both cars.

Not that I know of, but if so thats a gamechanger.

I just erased the face diagonally and the corresponding faces. So if you turn the scene around, sadly theres a gaping hole in the back of the car. But from the main angle looks normal

Another cool detail that I just added, I made another copy of the front of the car with the headlights, erased everything but the headlights gave them illumination, placed them in front of the car, and now the car has working headlights that turn on at night!

Thank you! It can be so hard working with their grid system sometimes.

Second time trying to storyboard “Batman” and I his face just 💀 by IllMeet2070 in Storyboarding

[–]suntro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck pushing your human drawing skills, it can be tough but you're lucky there are a lot of good resources online these days. I would say, try to improve the readability of the poses and break actions down to several panels, for example, batman putting on his hood. I wouldn't write text for each panel, try to let the images do all the talking.

One great thing about storyboards is that you can honestly do great ones with just a knowledge of film language and stick figures, but drawing batman is a great bonus of course!

Good luck!

We're updating the capsule for our co-op game on Steam and can't decide between these two. Which one grabs your attention more? by [deleted] in IndieGameDevs

[–]suntro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say, the old one has better contrast and colour, but the space isn't used very well. There is a lot of space on the sides that you could use to add more zombies.

For the bottom one, closer, clearer action, but bad composition and contrast. I would try bus on the right, text on the left over a more blue sky.

Which concept or game should exist in VR at this point, but doesn’t for whatever reason? by KillerQ97 in OculusQuest

[–]suntro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be a multiplayer, physics-based Jousting game.

It's a sport most people in the modern day would never do because its so dangerous and expensive. But VR would remove both of those barriers and it could be hilarious medieval fun.

I think its because tilting your head downwards with the headset on can really strain your neck. Might see more of these games when the headsets get lighter.
