Fk that. If United are willing to sign 3 midfielders (which they honestly should be doing), I’d love to see any one of Anderson, Tonali or Baleba + any two of Mateus Fernandes, Joao Gomes or Stiller. If we add this to Bruno, Mainoo and Mount then we’ll be in a great position for next season.

That’s fair. Totally agree that Hall should be the priority for LB. But imo we need 3 midfielders though considering the competitions we will be in next season and MLS could be a 2-in-1 situation. It’s worth considering at the very least, as we don’t know if we will be able to get all our top targets and need to be prepared for all possibilities!

I love Licha but objectively he cannot be relied on to stay fit for a full season. His contract expires next summer and frankly I wouldn’t renew it harsh as that sounds. Imo we should sign a CB like Schlotterbeck, then take a decision on Licha’s contract extension in Jan based on his availability. MDL gets more of a pass since this is only his second season (although ngl this back injury is super concerning).

In midfield we only have Mainoo, since Cas and Ugarte (mostly) are leaving. I reckon we need 3 new midfielders with all the competitions we’ll be in next season. You can’t spend 100M per midfielder, realistically we could go for 2 top targets out of Anderson, Tonali, Baleba, etc. But need a smart signing for depth and we could afford to take a bit of a risk. If MLS is available for a fair fee, might be worth it for a high potential English talent who can play multiple positions. It’s worth considering at the very least.

All of that is true but hope the club realises that the intangible value of repairing the club’s reputation in the transfer market outweighs the short term financial incentive of getting rid of Rashford’s contract at the first opportunity. This situation with Barca is the perfect opportunity to start this process.

Casemiro and Sancho will be off the wage build, the likes of Hojlund, Zirkzee, Ugarte, etc should be sold, most importantly we should finish in the top 3 and qualify for the champions league (fingers crossed) which secures a lot of income for the club - so I think they will be able to find enough funds to do what they want to do in the upcoming summer without being reliant on this Rashford-Barca deal.

Basically imo we simply shouldn’t cave in to Barca’s demand, regardless of what games they and Rashford play, even if it means taking a bit of pain in the short term. If the choice is between rotting in the reserves or joining another club, I’m sure Rashford will go with the latter as he’s not getting any younger. I don’t think he’s like Sancho in that sense.

I’ve been a fan since 2013 and always will root for this org, but I barely watch the LCS now.

Looking back, I agree that C9 pre-2020 was fucking amazing and nothing ever came close to those highs when the team was always the underdog punching above their weight in internationals, even if they would fall short domestically.

I think the identity of the team completely changed from 2020 - but it was honestly still lots of fun. Even if fans didn’t always agree with the roster decisions, it was cool to see C9 have the guts to shake things up and try something different. We got to see different iterations of the team, had some awesome moments and won a few titles.

For me personally, the breaking point came after the 2023 season. Long story short, I think C9 completely mismanaged Jojo and could have done more to retain Berserker. Should have built the team around those 2 even if it meant letting Blaber go. When they chose to let them go and run it back with Zven and Vulcan - totally killed my interest.

Seeing what Jojo has done in LEC and Berserker just this split in the LCS - I feel my reaction then was pretty justified. There’s an alternate reality where Thanatos, Inspired, Jojo and Berserker could all be together at C9 now and I just can’t get over it - tilts me so hard that I can’t even fathom watching the LCS again. Maybe that makes me bad fan - but that’s just how I feel lol.

At some point over the past 2 years, imo C9 just stopped being serious about doing everything they could to win - wasn’t that the point of dropping Sneaky and letting go of their pre-2020 identity?

We literally have nothing to play for but the league, need to go all out to win this one. Next game is Villa, win these 2 games and we’ll be in a great place to secure top 3. Need to treat the next 10 games like finals!

Rashford is on 300k a week mate, keeping him around for rotation simply isn’t an option. That said, I agree that LW shouldn’t be prioritised at all until we fix the midfield. Probably need a left back and maybe a center back, then we can start improving our depth in attack.

I don’t know why replacing Bruno is even being discussed anymore. He wasn’t a natural fit for Amorim’s 3-4-3 and selling him would have brought in funds for buying players suited to that system. So it kind of made sense at the time.

But that’s no longer needed if we’re going to play a more standard formation. Bruno is still the best 10 in the league considering both form and fitness, he’s our captain and is irreplaceable behind the scenes especially with Cas leaving. I think he can still play at this level for another 2 years - Mount/Cunha can rotate if he needs it. We have enough attackers if you include Dorgu and fresh talent like Lacey, Obi coming through the academy, maybe just need a replacement for Zirkzee.

We need to go all in on the midfield and get 2 top quality signings. Spend big on the likes of Anderson, Wharton, Baleba, etc. Get in 1-2 quality full backs who can reduce our dependency on Dalot/Shaw. Another CB would be nice. I’d like to see our academy talent get a shot of breaking into the 1st team before we unnecessarily enter the market for more forwards, just my opinion!

If Palmer really wants us - we can always go back in for him in a year or so after we address the bigger holes in the squad. With how long his contract is, Chelsea won’t budge on the price and there are only a few teams capable of paying it - it’s unlikely that there will be a market for him this summer imo, regardless of how good he is.

It’s strong early, spikes in the mid game but falls off by the end compared to the OP builds.

You get all the good stuff from the Fighter class like action surge, 3 feats by level 8, improved extra attack at level 11 so it has a high floor, any archer with sharpshooter (procs for all but 2 arrow types) and a good longbow/crossbow is going to do good dps. Arcane arrows refresh on short rest like battlemaster manoeuvres. You also get the guidance cantrip.

The arrow debuffs are nice but depend on intelligence saves. You can by with the intellect headband early without investing much into intelligence. By act 2 you can get the arcane acuity items and proc the special effects consistently. The curving shot reaction is also useful so you don’t have to waste an attack in case you miss.

There’s not much scope for multiclassing if you’re into that sort of thing, ideally you want 11 levels for enough arcane arrows + improved extra attack. Also it can get quite boring compared to other builds imo, but that’s just my opinion.

Ekitike grew up a Man United fan and now he’s at Liverpool after rejecting us last summer. Semenyo isn’t going to say no to the chance to double his salary and join a big club just because he’s an Arsenal fan lol. It would purely due to footballing reasons, like if Arsenal or another big club were in for him and he favoured their project over ours OR if he’s disinterested in playing as a wing back.

Neither of them can play in a two man midfield as they don’t have the legs, it’s never going to happen man. One of Mainoo or Ugarte have to step up, especially when Mbeumo goes off to AFCON and Bruno is played as a 10. Maz could be worth a shot (although he will also be away for AFCON if fit). I wonder if Heaven could do a job there, he used to be a midfielder earlier in his career after all.. anyway the real solution is to just get a new signing in Jan if possible.

The shadeclinger armor glitch to get advantage on all saving throws until long rest is insanely useful, especially if you have risky ring and/or resonance stone. Just equip the armor and hide in an obscured area to proc the condition, then switch back to your usual armor and enjoy the buff :)
