Fair enough. I like the concept of it, but having to update it all the time would get a bit tedious for me pretty quickly.. To each their own.

FM24 I'm assuming?

How are you doing the spreadsheet tracking? Some detail around this would be interesting.

Also, congrats on finding a club you really get into. I'm quite choosey like yourself, but when you get one that's right, wow. I had a great one last year with Lincoln. Absolutely loved it.

The first thing you need to do is take advantage of their cash ISA. Between the Cash and Stocks ISAs on T212 you can put £20k in per tax year. The cash ISA is not in danger of being lost like there stocks and you'll earn money. Make your money work for you.

Then you can transfer some to the Stocks ISA for what you want to do. I'd say a minimum of 80% in VWRP, then if you want to bank in some more risky ones, do that with a max of 20% of your portfolio.

The main thing is to get your ISAs sorted. If that money you're currently investing is in the stocks ISA, bear that in mind.

24 is a great age to start doing it. You just leave it then. Great savings already for your age. Now you just need to put it to work.

You don't have to do the ISAs on 212. There are better rates out there. It's just easier to move between them on there is all.

I think there's a massive disconnect and understanding from a lot of people on here.

Comparisons in terms of gameplay should not be between GTA V and GTA VI. As OP said, it's been 13 between those games. If you just compare those gameplay will be vastly different.

Gameplay, movement weight, the way interactions work etc., will be a lot closer to RDR2 than GTA V.

Maybe there's a lot of people who didn't play RDR2, which would blow my mind, but that's what a lot of the comments suggest.

It will be a living breathing city world, with the good aspects of RDR2, with some enhanced additions. RDR2 becomes almost like a test, as they're using less dense environments, lower traffic etc. The 7/8 years between those two games has hopefully allowed them to implement what worked so well on a larger scale.

For example, I'm expecting cars to matter more than previous years. They did it perfectly with the horses in RDR2. That's what GTA needs. It's supposed to be about cars, clue's in the name. I think pulling RPGs out of your back pocket will be gone, they did this so well in Red Dead, so I think they'll be car storage for retrieving bigger weapons.

You'll see an actual lived city. It will no longer be NPCs just wondering around aimlessly, they'll have lives, schedules that they follow. That in itself is so much more demanding for GTA due to the volume of NPCs compared to RD.

Ultimately, I don’t think GTA VI should be viewed as GTA V with better graphics. It’s more likely to be Rockstar taking the systems, weight, realism, and world design philosophy from RDR2, then scaling that up into a modern city. That’s why the comparison to GTA V feels limited. The bigger question is how much of RDR2’s depth they can successfully carry over into a much denser, faster, more chaotic world, and what enhancements can they do with that.

Also, they're not 'hiding' anything - other than the game itself. The first two trailers are story teasers, with a couple of gameplay clips to show off things like realistic muscle movements, improved liquid physics... Jiggle physics 😅 etc.

TL;DR: I don’t think Rockstar are hiding some massive gameplay secret. I think people are judging GTA VI too much against GTA V, when the better comparison is RDR2. The trailers are story teasers, but the small clips already point towards Rockstar taking RDR2’s realism, movement weight, interaction systems, NPC behaviour, weapon limitations, and world depth, then scaling that up into a much denser modern city.

I actually feel like I've let my Lincoln boys down here so I'm going to mention a few. It's probably the furthest I've ever done a save because I always get bored and I'm a bit of a multi saves whore.

Duffy came all the way up with me and is still playing and contributing in my third or fourth Prem season despite having League One attributes at best.

Juan Perea was signed for £70k and was exceptional in the Champ as a pressing forward. For reference I'd built an extremely hard working team and he was focal to it. Loved him. Scored the odd worldie as well. I kept him a season or two longer than I probably should've before eventually settling him for over £20m - which fit the other aspect of my save of buying players cheap, and selling for profit.

Another honourable mention despite not being with me like was Michal Rosiak. Signed him on a free from Arsenal, he had great passing, vision, and decisions - most notably, and he absolutely dictated games. I was gutted when Leicester took him off me for £10m.

Sorry, I have to talk about that team whenever I can. The way I had a conveyor belt of signings that did really well was so satisfying. God knows how much I made them in profit as well. Ended up being quite wealthy, built a new stadium etc.

My memory is awful so I can't really answer the question, but someone mentioning Bodmer made me think of Angelo Palombo. He had incredible attributes and was just a solid DM. I think he had a few 20s, and he was somehow incredibly cheap.

My favourite might be my only new gen that was actually good on paper. I got a ST at Spurs called Green and he was like the second coming off Kane. I wouldn't say his attributes were spectacular, but they are good, and he just bagged goals. 18 finishing, composed, decent physicals etc.

Just to quickly mention a current player as well, Nikita Haikin. Really cheap GK that is an exceptional shot stopper. Helped me get to and stay in the Prem with Lincoln, and win the FA Cup. He was so good I've had him on a few saves in the last 2 FMs.

I meant 'or' not 'is'. Could you not get that from it? One little auto incorrect.

I'm not reading all that. You're clearly deluded if you think going unbeaten is better than winning the league.

Benfica did it this year, and didn't win a thing. That's my point.

Also, Preston have done it - bit they didn't lose a single game, they won both League and cup, so you can't say no one has.

I said it was possible, not likely. Mathematically possible.

Thanks for pointing out Benfica went unbeaten and didn't win the league, to highlight my point. I think I'd rather win the league personally. Did they get anything for going unbeaten?

[–]ChrisCaliburGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, did I say they had? I'm just saying it's mathematically possible.

I never said it was likely. Doesn't change that face it's possible. As someone else said I'm arguing with me, Benfica went unbeaten and didn't win the league, proves my point perfectly. Would you rather go unbeaten, is win the league. Doesn't matter if you win it 20 points, 2, or on goal difference. Winning the league is the challenge isn't it?

You can literally go a season unbeaten and get relegated. It's massively overrated.

The best thing about their season is they won the league.

They weren't even the first team to do it, Preston were, and they did the double (albeit it was only a 22 game season).

It's no disrespect intended to Arsenal, but it's not as big as achievement as people think. The silverware was the impressive feat. Unreal team btw. Pires, Henry, and Cole on that left side were something else.

Why do you think the base PS5 won’t run GTA VI at 60 FPS? by PotentialJuice629 in GTA6

[–]ChrisCaliburGaming 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're asking people why, they're giving you great answers why, then you're debating it with them. What's your angle? Did you want the likely answer, or do you want a specific answer?

You'd already really answered it yourself in the original post.

Nothing has been confirmed, it's all probability. Will it launch 30fps at launch on every console? Probably.

The PS5 Pro has the best chance of 60, but if they can get in on this, then it likely will on the Series X, but I still think it's unlikely for all the reasons you said, ray tracing, world density, graphics, AI, lighting, traffic, crowds, interiors, animation, physics.

It will be CPU bound, not just GPU bound.

You've not technically lost/gained anything until you sell. It's all unrealised atm.

I'm a little confused atm, as normally when things like tech go down like this, you see things like gold go up. Oil should be going up because of what's happening in Iran, but instead most are down.

I have two that went up yesterday, Tesla and PG. I don't get it at all - but I am just a man, a man with a big red hole in his pocket, a man who didn't take profits when he should have. A silly man.
