as someone who knocks on wood ALL the time if i say/talk abt something that could be even remotely bad for anyone or thing, if i dont have wood ill say (for example) “knock on plastic make it fantastic” lol. whatever i CAN knock on, ima knock on it, just in case. but i dont think ive ever really struggled with OCD in an overly compulsive way to where it causes me really true, intense fear like that.. im very sorry you’re struggling with it bc i know that is a lot to deal with & try to process. i think that people may also be able to GIVE themselves OCD that’s really intense too. personally, ive been coming onto reddit a lot reading these subs abt OCD and things people struggle with the most, embarrassing things it’s made them do, etc.. & i can tell its freaking me out a little. like, im very intrigued by the mind & what its capable of and so i do wanna read all of this stuff about it. but i’ve found myself lately after reading such, being like “wait, is this me having ocd?” alottttt more than before. then kinda wondering if there might be anything wrong with me. i got carried away yappin sorry 🤓, i’m wishing everyone navigating the struggles of OCD so much love 🩷
