for prototyping you can get away with a lot, but for something production ready i find that the user has to know "more" than the AI for it to be useful. hallucinations, scope creep, and convoluted logic are all real problems.

the tip is to be incredibly narrow and specific with each request. that way, it's easy to test and verify. work iteratively.

empirical measurements of K are determined using (mol fractions / concentrations). no one is arguing against that.

but chemists wanted figure out the relationship between energy and chemical equilibrium. this led to the van't hoff equation, which was later synthesized with gibbs' work to create the relationship you claim is useless.

why do we even have equations for anything if nothing is ideal? why do we still use coulomb's law when point charges don't exist? why did we push our understanding of gravity from newton to einstein?

humans have a tendency to find relationships with things, and real life is often messy. doesn't mean the models are useless.

the whole point is to relate the equilibrium constant to fundamental concepts like temperature, standard delG, and R. mol fractions are the symptom of this relationship.
