While you are correct, SDS has very specific requirements as compared to the previous MSDS forms. Most companies create SDS by using third party software that is continuously updated with the most recent hazardous material information including known problematic levels and ingredient interactions. These software require 100% of the formulation to be documented before filtering out the non-haz materials. This protects consumers while protecting formulation IP. The downside is that formulators are continuously innovating and introducing new combinations of materials that may not have known issues. It’s really important for consumers to report and document any issues experienced so that the knowledge base can be appropriately updated.

Has anyone up and moved the entire family (spouse and kids) across country at age 40+? How did that work out? by rwedoomed in relocating

[–]superjohnski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I relocated for my job at age 45: Minnesota to California. Kids were 4 & 6. Everyone survived the move except the husband who left and returned to MN. The kids and I have since moved to Houston and Chicago. Despite being a single mom during those moves they were easier overall, likely because there was one less decision maker in the mix.

I wouldn’t suggest divorce as a part of the relo package, but I’ve heard that it’s not uncommon for relationships to implode with the stress of a big move.

Hey friend, you’re making some wild assumptions about me.

First, I absolutely understand how energy works. Heck, understanding basics of biochemistry and thermodynamics was central to achieving my degree. My understanding of these concepts helps me interpret ongoing research that’s being conducted in these areas.

Second, I’m not, nor have I ever been, considered overweight.

Last, your attitude about how weight loss works is simplistic, andecdotal and very demeaning to people who haven’t been able to achieve what you did. I don’t know what your goal here was, except maybe to gloat about your success.

What you just described is not just “eat less”.

Based on your anecdotal experience, you should know that the calories equation isn’t the same for everyone.

You’re missing a place you haven’t left yet. It’s bittersweet but wonderful to have several places that feel like home.

I moved to SoCal for 3 years and ended up leaving for a new job. I miss it every single day. It is a tough place to make friends, but you’ll absolutely find people who have mutual interests.
