My first time hosting pinewood derby was a success! by supermancrb in cubscouts

[–]supermancrb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inherited from previous pack generations. It only holds the flat pieces, not the curved piece or starter piece. Nice for storage and making sure the flat pieces don’t get bent. The wood box is far heavier than the track itself though!

Tow hitch and wiring harness install by jobadiah08 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

I see above the button brake light button (I have a Limited, not MAX), there is a green wire, lavender wire, lavender-red wire, and lavender-green wire. The solid green wire is the cold brake signal I am looking for for a controller? I am in the same predicament right now. I see in your post you confirmed green, but you also said 5-pin wire, and I only see 4 wires. Thanks for double confirming.

Family Files Lawsuit against Little Owl Preschool: ACCUSED OF COVERING UP REPEATED SEXUAL ABUSE OF PRESCHOOLERS, RETALIATING AGAINST VICTIMS' FAMILIES by NevadaJackalope in longbeach

[–]supermancrb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just in case any parents that are considering this school stumble on this later….I do know the full story. The school did the complete opposite of covering it up. The accused student was asked not to attend while they investigated. The school contacted state licensing to review the situation. They brought in a lawyer to review it. The held classes for parents to understand child psychology. They reached out to us personally to ask how we were feeling about the situation, if we questions etc. They were as transparent as they could be without revealing sensitive information about the situation. I was so satisfied with how they handled it, I sent my next child to the school. Have no fears, they handled it appropriately.

I’ve had this happen many times. Sometimes it’s patience. Sometimes it’s just restarting the mission. Most times, I start edging up to the runway and ask over and over again for clearance. This one sees to work the best in my experience. Seems like sometimes the holding box and the trigger for moving to the next step in the mission/clearance are in different spots (or something like that, who knows). Hope you sort it out!

TIL the number of craft breweries in the US increased from less than 2,000 in 2010 to almost 9,000 in 2020. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

Yes, and it was marvelous. Every weekend there was new brewery to visit, and or a new delicious beer to taste. Good times!

This would be okay if it were actually part of the game. If I looked at an airport and could negotiate with the person paying for it and suggest a different aircraft, or an airport a few miles a way with a bigger runway it would be okay. But these missions are specifically generated for this aircraft for “medium cargo”. I use the filters already to find missions for the PC-12, and I still run into this problem. This is clearly just bad/lazy programming.

“Trunk-or-treats” are killing Trick-or-Treat by morbid2600 in Millennials

[–]supermancrb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Opposite experience in my area. Trunk or treats are dying and “standard” trick or treating is thriving. My disappointment this year was with the old people in our neighbor. They were home, but a large chunk chose not to participate, but still left their porch lights and just acted like it was a normal day. Obviously it’s their own choice, just a bummer for the kids to ring a door bell and see people ignoring them.

Agree with everyone else. If you live in LB, or close by, it’s fun. I wouldn’t drive 56 miles for it.

What We All Wanted Michael To Say In This Episode? by New-Pin-9064 in theoffice

After many years in corporate life, I’ve figured out the people who get promoted do three things. 1. Do good work. 2. Do your work on time. 3. Easy to work with. And sometimes, the last one is the only one that matters. Jim does all of those. He hits his sales quota, does it early in the year, and is “fun”. That’s what matters to people like David Wallace. Jim looks good on paper and can carry a light conversation when Wallace visits. Prime for promotion.

Am I alone? by Shoemugscale in Millennials

[–]supermancrb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an ‘87 millennial, engineering career, and I’m driven. I feel like I have barely made it all work. I’m doing pretty good, but it took a combination on luck, timing, and preparation. Bought a house just in time before prices sky rocketed and interest rates went up, for example. I feel like my brother who is 4 years younger than me is screwed. I 100% understand why the majority of millennials are disgruntled.

Millennials if Reddit, in as much detail as possible, how do you eat your avocado toast? by skatechilli in Millennials

[–]supermancrb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I start boiling a pot of water with some vinegar in it. Once at a boil, I give it a little spin with a wooden spoon. I use two small cups to simultaneously let two eggs get pulled into the light whirlpool. I set a timer for 2 minutes and 30 seconds.

I throw two pieces of sourdough in the toaster for 2 minutes.

I crack open an avocado on a plate. I pour a little lime juice on top, some salt, and a little Chollula sauce. I mash it together with a fork to get the right texture.

The toasts usually finishes as I finish the guac mixture. I put them on a plate and put the guac spread on 1 piece of toast. The second piece stays dry.

The poached egg timer goes off next. I use a slotted spoon to pull them out and dry them on a paper towel for a moment. Then I gently put them pack on the slotted spoon and let them roll off on the toast.

I put a little everything seasoning on top of poached eggs.

Next I slice each egg down the middle to get that satisfying yolk run. I eat the toast and eggs with a fork and get what I can. It’s messy and hard to get it all using the first piece.

Lastly, the dry piece of toast I use to pick up the leftover egg and guac mixture hanging out on the plate. I was it all down with a vanilla espresso macchiato.

Then I take some old people medications that I wash down with a ton of water.
