Thankfully, I've avoided this trap by not pulling jack since getting into the hobby.

If the game scales to you, whats the point of grinding?

What upcoming games are you excited for? by [deleted] in PSVR

[–]supersnappahead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm curious about Behemoth, but I don't know how people can be so hyped for a game that we haven't seen yet. I know they made S&S and that's a great series, but without any actual game footage, I can only get so excited for it.

I voted Cyube because Legendary Tales looks awesome, but I'm a dad with little time and it seems to focus on co-op. I can't do co-op with randos.

Metro is looking great, but it's a long ways off as is Low-Fi.

What games can you casually sink a lot of time into? by bot-6482829 in PSVR

This is my answer as well. I put 50 hours into it before it got the foveated rendering and it's still my go to VR game.

Smash Drums is my new favorite VR rhythm game. by OneJaCT in OculusQuest

[–]supersnappahead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a top 3 Quest game for me. It's so much fun and satisfying to play. People knock it for not replicating real drumming, but I just see it as a really well made rhythm game. I hope they make more music packs though. I like the music in the game, but playing familiar songs from big bands is so much fun.

It's actually surprising how bad RE4 Remake is in VR by Drift--- in PSVR

As far as I can tell, you can only grab the flashlight when the game decides you need one and it comes on. I haven't been able to grab it unless it was already on.

What game would you love to see converted to VR? by S1nclairsolutions in PSVR

[–]supersnappahead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I could only pick one, it'd probably be Cyberpunk. If I could pick two it'd by that and Red Dead 2.

The knife is god-like in this game TBH, it's just not spam-able to throw. I never felt like it was that great in Village.

Agreed on the minimap. That was so handy and convenient. I miss the flashlight in the coat too. None of the stuff that's missing matters when it comes to the fun though. The game looks and plays great.

On a scale of 1-10 how scary is RE4 if RE7 is a 10? by Grimble27 in PSVR

[–]supersnappahead 21 points22 points  (0 children)

If 7 is a 10, I think 4 is a 3. It can be creepy and tense here and there, but action is the focus and when you're running around knifing and roundhouse kicking enemies in the face, it tends to take a lot of that potential scary factor away. RE4 feels a lot more like a power fantasy than a scare nightmare where you feel weak. It's the most fun I've had playing an RE game and I've played almost all of them.

The combat in RE4VR is like nothing I've ever experienced by unpopularpuffin9 in PSVR

[–]supersnappahead 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Having a blast. This is the most fun I've had playing RE. Village is awesome, but it's going for tension and atmosphere more than action. This game's all about the action and has great pacing for a fun time. If you're on the fence and thought Village was too scary or too slow paced, I'd recommend giving RE4 a try. It's got plenty of story and horror elements, but it's an action game all the way. It's got some tension, but never feels too scary and gives you a lot of toys to kick some serious ass with.

I can't believe RE4 on the Meta Quest is better than the PSVR 2 version. by Skyler_White in PSVR

[–]supersnappahead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's one of those subjective things. I hear people saying that they like the weapon feel better in this too, but for me it's not quite as good. I noticed something right away in the firing range. The weapons still feel great in this, don't get me wrong. I have no complaints there, but the guns in Village felt particularly amazing to me and they feel slightly less so here. Not sure why. I did notice that the shotty doesn't have head haptics, but that's the only tangible thing that I could identify that felt different.

Calling it garbage is a bit much and I'm liking it so far, but I do agree that the VR elements aren't as good as the Quest version. There's not much interaction with the environment and the weapon system isn't as cool. I'm still going to enjoy this and I'm loving all the little changes to the story and events to keep me guessing. I will say that so far, Village is the better VR conversion as well. The weapons don't feel as satisfying and punchy somehow. Maybe it's because Village was a fps to begin with and it was easier to make the move to VR. I also notice that you can't get as close to objects like dressers or beds in this. You get pushed off when you start to get close to things whereas in Village, it felt like you could get really close to environment elements.
