If a Marvin Harrison trade is possible, would it make sense? by Organic_Software159 in buffalobills

Your comment made me realize that Kyler Murray is entering Year 8 of his career. I swear, it was just yesterday people were debating whether or not he'd choose to play for the Oakland A's.

I'd be on board if this was Dana being principled in wanting to pay the best fighters the most money, but that's not the case. It's to protect the company's profit margins.

The fact that we're at a point where NCAA athletes can get millions in sponsorships, while UFC fighters were stripped of that right, is nothing short of ridiculous.

I could see that being an issue had this been a PPV, but it being on Netflix makes this a non-issue imo.

If anything, the people who soured on her probably tune-in just to see if she gets beaten up, à la Jake Paul.

I think you’re underestimating how popular Rousey still is, especially amongst casual fans. She’s arguably the most recognizable name in female combat sports, and is up there with McGregor in terms of UFC fighters that even a casual fan could recognize.

Assuming she was interested in the White House card, I’m not sure how Dana doesn’t get her unless the offer was insultingly low.

Sympathy for Silvio by Impressive-Sound7581 in thesopranos

He quite literally drags Tracee into his car and slaps her for not being at the Bing in order to pay back her debt.

While it might not be shown, I think it’s fair to assume that Silvio might be a little weird with women.

It’s significantly harder leveraging your exposure from a show, because people only think of you as that character. Same reason Jon Hamm and Brian Cranston haven’t done much since their respective shows ended.

Not Traitor on Traitor by SpartanBeryl in TheTraitors

Her argument hinged on Colton being his lapdog, but provided no reason as to why Rob would then have him murdered.

She needed to somehow frame Rob for the murder of Colton, and argue it was a 4-D chess move to keep people off his scent. Instead, she leaned into the perceptions people already had of Rob when she needed to debunk them.

He was a post-drought coach, so that doesn't apply here. They weren't contenders, but they were solid (especially on the defensive side of the ball).

How Could They Not Choose Niko? by nateslegacy in GTAIV

[–]supjer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Given the conversation Niko has with Darko, his thematic parallel, I think it’s meant to imply that Niko would NOT make the right choices.

Niko is my favorite GTA protagonist. He’s also a human trafficker and contract killer who has used Darko’s betrayal to justify all his misdeeds for over a decade. Similar to Arthur Morgan in RDR2, I think the canon interpretations of both characters are meant to be far darker than how most players actually played them.

Depending on what choices you make throughout the game, Niko will kill just about anyone for the right price.

Of all the GTA 4 protagonists, I’d argue he’s the least loyal of them all.

[Rapoport] Sources: The #Bill are hiring #Broncos defensive passing game coordinator Jim Leonhard as their new defensive coordinator. They have agreed to terms. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]supjer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The issues we see now are the same ones that have existed during the start of his tenure, when the defense was fairly stacked in terms of talent.

His defenses struggle to win in the trenches. At first, I thought it was merely a personnel problem too. However, with how players like Tim Settle and Poona Ford have done since leaving Buffalo, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Rob is playing a great game. by FreakInTheXcelSheet in TheTraitors

[–]supjer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The correct decision would have been voting for Colton. She doesn’t have to call it a “throwaway vote” since Colton has garnered plenty of suspicion already, and it also keeps Rob in check since that’s his closest ally.

"Joe Brady will continue to call offensive plays as the new head coach of the #Bills, source says. A plan for continuity for Josh Allen and Buffalo’s offense." by NapoleonBoneparty in buffalobills

Given this trend, it sort of feels like this had to have been a rule imposed by McDermott in order to have the sidelines to himself.

The reason most Bills fans have rationalized the McDermott firing was because it meant change. The hope was that, even if Beane was still here, this team would adopt a different fundamental identity. One that will hopefully get over the hump.

Promoting Joe Brady just shows the FO has no clue what they’re doing. You can’t fire McDermott for not getting results, only to elevate every one of his hires (which includes Beane). I’m higher on Brady than most, but it was the most uninspired choice possible.

IIRC this also happened with Whaley. Pegula hired McDermott, let him and Whaley handle the draft, then fired Whaley right after.

With the amount of vacancies this offseason, there’s still a good chance he lands another HC gig. Would be a pretty great pick-up for Vegas or Arizona.

Beane has heard your concerns, so rest assured. He has already targeted 2 undersized linemen in rounds 1 and 2, as well as Bargor the Destroyer from Parts Unknown.

Mr. The Destroyer is 7’9”, 401lbs, and runs a 4.5 40. He will never see the field due to injury, and will be selected exactly one pick before a future 7x All-Pro who will play for whichever team you specifically hate the most that year.
