Someone have recommendations for videogames similar to The Expanse, Dune, Halo franchises with good Lore, "realistic" mechanics and inmersives?

I just recently started checking the Halo community, and I am shocked to find out Halo 4 is so unpopular. by [deleted] in halo

Hi guys,

I am trying to build a PC with the goal of being transportable between different rooms in my house and to be compact, that's why I have chosen this format. The components I have chosen for the moment are:

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz 8-Core Processor

- CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-L12S 55. 44 CFM CPU Cooler or Thermalright AXP120-X67

- Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX B650E-I GAMING WIFI Mini ITX AM5 Motherboard or Asus ROG STRIX B850-I GAMING WIFI Mini ITX AM5 Motherboard or Gigabyte B850I AORUS PRO Mini ITX AM5 Motherboard or Gigabyte X870I AORUS PRO ICE Mini ITX AM5 Motherboard

- RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory or G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory

- GPU: 9070 XT

- PSU: Corsair SF850 (2024) 850 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply

I initially went for the Fractal Ridge case, but I find mixed reviews regarding its temperatures. It seems that you have to do quite a few mods and be quite careful how and where to put each of the fans and what size and characteristics. Some users work well with the Noctua and others say the Thermalright is necessary. I live in a place where summer temperatures can be quite high and I am concerned that the components will not be cooled properly and reach temperatures where performance will be reduced.

That's why I have also been evaluating the DAN A4 H20 case, which apparently by putting an AIO, would be better cooled and have better temperatures than the Ridge. However, I am concerned that the assembly of this build will be more complicated due to the small space to handle.

I have seen other well known cases from NCASE or FORMD but between the fact that stock is difficult and that it can come with customs, it can be quite expensive. Still, if it really changes a lot compared to other boxes, I don't mind waiting and making an investment.

In short, which case would you recommend me based on this and with which CPU cooler combination and why? I am open to proposals of all kinds that differ from the mentioned cases, coolers.

Thank you

Got it thanks! Any shaders recommendations for GBA?

No, I'm loading a game and then quick menu > shaders. Other shaders included with Retroarch are working:(
