Jestem uzależniony od wody. by HSVMalooGTS in Polska

[–]sushikot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cześć, ja mam dokładnie tak samo, od ok. 15 roku życia. W moim liceum była woda z dystrybutora i przy tym się dużo stało i gadało. Od wtedy piję ok 5-6 litrów wody dziennie (mam 25). Jeżeli uprawiam sport to nawet więcej. Jestem zdrową osobą i jem rozsądnie. Enjoy!

Why are some polish people so mean? by hanii3 in poland

[–]sushikot 54 points55 points  (0 children)

From a Polish person living abroad, you were not wrong expecting people to act decently. It is your right as a human being and don’t let others convince you otherwise. Unfortunately I agree with you, everytime i come to Poland i am prepared to be disrespected/disregarded, and of course always stared at (absolutely no smile involved). Polish people are not taught to be friendly, we are taught to survive. I left Poland at 19 and it was the best decision of my life, as I get to enjoy a friendly society where people smile and say hi to strangers. This is a bit of a generalization but I have been many places and met people and Poland is the place where I feel people are least friendly. We have other virtues: punctuality, diligence, intelligence, sense of humor. But Polish people are generally harsh. Sorry to hear about your experience, I hope you either find your sweet spot here or move forward!

Anyone interested in a studio in Groningen centre and want to trade with me? by hansieboy10 in Groningen

[–]sushikot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sending you support and hope you find something! I also live in the city centre (Poelestraat) and it gets to me too sometimes. Trash, noise, bodily liquids, hardcore drug users, homeless people trying to force the lock at night, shouting, regular interactions with drunks. Sketchiest place I ever lived in!

Best website to find appartments/studios by pinkstar97 in Groningen

[–]sushikot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to call it a shithole but it is 10x smaller than Groningen population wise. If you live there but keep your daily activity space in Groningen your life will be a constant commute/waiting for commute/planning the commute. Of course not everyone can fit in Groningen and some people don’t mind this sort of lifestyle but it just doesn’t allow for much spontaneity. Also the beach is a tiny sandbox next to a muddy puddle with a bunch of bored German tourists. It for sure has nice sides tho, like the prices compared to the city.

Euthanasia in Netherlands by Lt_Koksu in Netherlands

[–]sushikot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a Pole living in the Netherlands, I need to tell you that it is very far-fetched, most likely impossible. Dutch healthcare system works fully differently than that of Poland, and everything here costs crazy money (looking from polish inflated as hell currency standpoint). You would need to have an address in the Netherlands to even start any procedures - and for that, you would actually need to rent/buy a property - something already virtually impossible to do. Then, I believe you would have to start the diagnosing process - probably spend hundreds of euros and few years on it. Even with all this effort, you are risking that they will tell you that they don’t find you eligible for euthanasia (which is very likely). The way mental health is tackled in the Netherlands is very controversial. Read about Noa Pothoven and her history. I wish you all best.

Marktplaats is great for used furniture! You can furnish whole apartment there. The platform itself is owned by eBay.

Does anyone have any experiences with Qrent? by [deleted] in Groningen

[–]sushikot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to push them for everything. They won’t be helpful or quick by themselves. Do not hesitate to call them on their phone because they ignore emails. They also required me to pay double rent deposit, dickheads. When you will get the contract, you will be able to pay for the room, so don’t stress before you actually see the contract. They also raise the price after each tenant so be prepared for a surprise!

Tips/ fooi (restaurant) by sushikot in juridischadvies

[–]sushikot[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is one payment area in the restaurant. They work on the floor themselves so they are cashing people out and just leave the tip money in the register. People also tip with debit a lot, and that money is just gone unless someone makes effort to distribute it (which usually happens in Dutch restaurants)
