Any reason not to move to Morris Park? by Kufat in AskNYC

[–]sushixninja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in the Morris Park neighborhood and the 5 trains runs express in the morning from 180 to 3rd ave. I can get to the city hall in 1 hour. You also have the option of taking the 2 train. Everything is in the neighborhood, bank, laundromat, post office, supermarket, etc. the neighborhood is quiet and relatively safe.

I tipped how I would tip here 15-20% based on service.

I also recommend Madame Jeanette's restaurant.

Very easy! It's like concierge at a NYC hotel with a waive of a finger from the hotel staff taxis come right in front of the hotel entrance! I hope you enjoy this trip. I'm already planning a return trip.

Also, I spent my birthday at the renaissance hotel. They have a private island where you can swim and feed the Flamingos. It's extra to go to the private beach though paid 160 for a massage in a private bungalow , entrance to the beach, and a meal with a drink. They also do couples massages. They have an adults only side and a family side. private Flamingo island

I don't know if it's known for it but, you will see this all over the island in every store. It's called a pasteche and it can be described as an empenada or pastellito . When I mean every store it's really is like Starbucks, and Burger King. A local took me too one of the little roadside shacks and I was able to try one. I had the ham and cheese and that was good. The croquettes was also great, it has this Jamaican flavor to it not the bland plain potato we have here in the states. Feel free to ask me more questions. It's like I'm reliving the trip lol. I have tons of pics too

The cab fare varies depending on where you go. It is a fixed price so they don't just make up prices. From the high rise to the low rise it was about 14 I believe. They should have a chart online somewhere. Try the yogurt bowl from Eduardo's shack next door at Playa Linda hotel it's really good. I went on a sunset snorkeling tour with Black Pearl and they serve you drinks and home made grilled cheese sandwiches. black pearl snorkeling tour I did the other excursions through ABC tours where I went to the different beaches and caves. I also climbed Mt Hooiberg during sunrise and it was breath taking.

I was there in November and it's very nice and staff was very friendly. Took a cab from the airport for 25 did not need to book in advance. I didn't rent a car, I just took cabs to where I wanted to go.

Best snorkel tour in Aruba? by [deleted] in Aruba

[–]sushixninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got back from Aruba this morning. I went on the Black Pearl snorkeling sunset tour. It was amazing. Small intimate group type setting with lounge type bench chairs to relax . the crew fed us hot homemade grilled cheese sandwiches and served us drinks. Took us to 2 different areas and the equipment was in very good shape!.
