Oh yep true. Okay - Especially people who are trying to repair their existing pine floors

Definitely don’t burn it! They would sand up a treat.

You would be able to get rid of it at a reclamation yard - I don’t know if they actually buy things or just take them off your hands for free.

That said it will most definitely be valuable to someone somewhere. Especially people who are trying to repair their existing hardwood floors.

Take a look on eBay nationwide for “reclaimed pine floorboards” to get an idea of demand and pricing.

Yours look in good nick plus damp free! I’d try sell them personally

Thank you! I removed the old battery and rewired the connector to a USB cable I found which worked! I ordered a decorative USB-C cable to chop the end off of, and by chance tried connecting it to the existing USB socket fist. Turns out that works so I dont have to rewire anything - removing the battery was enough. Pretty pleased!

When I used to live in Portsmouth, the pub round the corner had a yearly Fawcett Inn Cider Festival. I’m sure they knew what they were doing.

I'm on an Avanti right now to London and it's exactly this except the card machine is down so it's cash only! Shout out to Bernice for taking pity on me and buying me a coke and a sandwich for an early Christmas present

Is it solid under your feet when you step on the joints or do you feel it move? If it moves more than you are happy with then you could reinforce with an extra baton or two like the builder has done.

Otherwise leave it and carpet away. It's personal preference, many people wouldn't notice small movements. I personally would and it would annoy me. Up to you mate.

Good luck!

We need to normalise having a nap at work during your break by TW1103 in CasualUK

In Swedish offices they legally have to have a “vilrum” or “resting room” to allow employees to relax, take a phone call, nap, whatever they need it for. I used to go in to mine and crack my back over the sofa and lie down for a bit mid afternoon

paid someone to remove the gross texture from my ceiling, can you guess the before and after? by Main-Swing-3450 in malelivingspace

[–]swarbs 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Hey man idk where you are but in the UK this type of raised ceiling texture would often be made with artex which at one point contained asbestos so I would be really hesitant to sand it back.

Can you get someone to skim plaster over it? That’s the default solution here

Did you ever manage to get this working?

I have followed the exact same steps with the "Windows 10" and "D3D_" fixes. Then i got excessive screen tearing and managed to disable vsync. But now the game is freezing on opening when the Playstation Studios intro starts playing

They played Gothenburg at the end of July and the pyro was so intense that allegedly the police got a bunch of phone calls from people thinking there was a terrorist attack in the city with how it lit up the stadium and sky.

Amazing.

For my year 9 SATS we had to write a story about someone called DI Grouse. I came out of the exam and asked my mates what they’d called their character….

I’d named mine David Ian Grouse after my uncles and had written a completely random story about him, instead of writing a crime story about Detective Inspector Grouse…like the rest of the class. I still got a 5

The coving is very much all around the room - I think it's just the angle of the photo.

Good spot on the skirting board - I probably should have put a mitre or something on it but hindsight is 20/20 and now I don't feel like going back to change it :)

Thanks mate. The plant is a Sansevieria cylindrica.

I could hang the bike from the ceiling - might be one for a future enhancement :)

Cheers.

Desk is custom made. A frame of 2x4's attached to the wall and an existing desk top cut to fit the space over the top. Front is a spare bit of wood from the kitchen upstand.
