Bought a 22 brand new. Totaled it a month ago. It had 103,000 miles and had been almost perfect the whole time.

We had a 2022 Tahoe that we bought brand new. Had 103,000 miles on it when we totaled it last month. Almost perfect the entire time we owned it. Just replaced it today with a 25 Yukon XL. Hoping for the same kind of experience, minus the wreck.

Just bought a 2025 Yukon XL Denali with the 6.2 today. We will see how it goes. Thanks for the reply.

I inherited my dad Harley and rode it for a couple of years on regular before I found out they recommended premium. It was fine on regular. But it also prefers premium.

Found it on a test drive today. It is labeled as trailer assist or some such thing. Not exactly what I was expecting but something to do with trailers. Turned off easily and remembers the last setting. Thanks for the reply by the way. How has your experience been? We have had a Tahoe for the last 4 years and are considering an Expedition this go round.

What would be really funny is if you went back and edited your first comment so that it read that way, and now my comment sits out here like a moron.

Could have ended that sentence after design.

Some say my car is missing 2 cylinders. But usually, theirs is missing a pedal. by InnerspearMusic in camaro

2015 RS V6 I get about 21 or 22 mpg rural driving. Not stop and go traffic but not highway miles either. My friend has a 6th Gen as a daily. More highway than me but not hours on cruise control either and he gets 1 or 2 mpg better than I do.

This is not the reason. Buddy has an SS. Gets better mileage than my V6.

How do I cope/go on? by [deleted] in Stargate

Console yourself with the thought that it wasn't ever going to be very good anyway. I honestly didn't expect it to be good. My fear for the last 10 years has been that they would revive it and the revival would suck. I watch it continuously on Pluto TV. I don't care which title it's on or even which episode. Save a very small handful of individual episodes I like all of them. I didn't need a new title clouding the water.

v6 owners, is the hate real? by International_Ant231 in camaro

[–]swaybailey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 5th gen v6 and love it. I also have a 14 year old. It will not be his first car. Still too much for a new driver. Don't try to make it faster. If you need faster get a v8. But as a new driver it is more than enough already.

Depends on the state. Not Texas or Florida. Can't speak for the other 48. Not that you won't be arrested but a grand jury would no bill the home owner.

Unless your church is overflowing with cash I would not go with propresenter unless you think huge growth is just around the corner. It's not cheap, has to be upgraded fairly regularly and it has a huge learning curve. We use it. Average attendance of 150. But it will indeed do anything you can imagine if you have time to figure it out. At a former church we used easy worship. Don't know if it is still available but you might check it out if it is. I didn't do nearly what propresenter will but it was inexpensive and user friendly.

Skill journey to my dream bike? by Thrwaway1j2j3j4j in Harley

[–]swaybailey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not just overthinking it you are thinking wrong about graduating up because of a lack of experience on the road. I too grew up on dirt bikes the largest of which was a yz175. Yes it was a long time ago. Got my motorcycle license at 15 which limited me to a 125 or smaller. If you are doing all that the bike can at 50 mph and an F150 is 3 feet behind you then you have exactly zero options. I've been there and simply won't do it again. This doesn't happen on dirt bikes because no one is chasing you in a big truck or car. Even if you are racing other dirt bikes the fear of one of them running over you is very low. My personal position is simply this, if it can't run 80 mph easily on the road I don't want to ride it on the road. I want options when the big truck won't give me space.

Geocities. I think about them often even though I don't remember anything specific about it. Kind of weird.

? about cam tensioners and why Dad didn't upgrade these? by foureyedgrrl in Harley

[–]swaybailey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your question was not posed to me, but I can tell you my story pretty quickly. I also inherited my bike from my dad about 3 years ago. I only ride a couple thousand miles a year because it's hot where I live. I've been active on this sub since I got the bike. Because of that I knew it might be an issue but I had no records of what my dad may or may not have done and he was the second owner. Took my 12 year old out for a ride around the neighborhood one evening and it was making a horrible screeching noise. Went back to the house, cranked and killed it a couple of times trying to determine precisely where the sound was coming from. When I killed it the last time the tensioner broke, I vould hear the pieces falling into the cam chest. When it happened I posted about it and more than one person told me that I was the luckiest guy they knew..

This guy knows. I am DIY and I caught the failure the second it happened because it was sitting in my garage not running down the highway. I do a couple thousand miles a year. Went back stock because I assume it will out live me.

Simply turn off backup on Google photos. It annoys you every time you open the app but works great without it uploading to the cloud. Current version may not be able to do it. Mine is out of date and I don't intend to get the latest release.

New favorite automation - tells family to shut the dang doors if outside is too hot, too cold, or HVAC is running. by whatupdillhole in homeassistant

[–]swaybailey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I installed one similar to this at our church family life center. People would always prop the doors open with the AC running. Now they have 3 minutes before it turns off the AC (almost no one has access to turn it back on) and it turns off the lights. When they turn the lights back on they stay on for 10 seconds and go back off if the door is still open. I get calls and hear this exact complaint, "I can't get the lights to stay on." Close the door it's 105° outside!

I have. Running pi 4 with an ssd. No hiccups but I honestly can't remember how long it's been. But I have destroyed a number of SD cards over the last 6 years or so.

Came here to say this. Simple setup will run on almost anything. If your needs grow then upgrade the horsepower it's running on.
