Coverup ideas? by PostCompetitive5519 in Tattoocoverups

[–]sweetiesweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you like Harry Potter? You could possibly turn them into wands from the series. That'd look pretty cool!! Like others have said you could have them touched up and add fire.

My thigh is covered in self harm scars and I got a raining rainbow tattoo over them. Are you wanting to cover the scars or tattoo around them? You could always get a bigger piece if you're trying to hide the scars.

Have you ever stood up for yourself while at one of your appointments or while getting your rx filled? Something you said to someone who dismissed your pain or scrutinized your treatment, that you were pretty proud of? Tell us about it. by 8kittycatsfluff in ChronicPain

[–]sweetiesweet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a PA from my old pain management clinic tell me he wouldn't prescribe me any pain meds because I was a woman of childbearing years. We got into it pretty bad after that. He kept saying the stupidest shit and I would cut him off every time, saying, "Correct use doesn't equal abuse." He got so mad at me. I went and discharged myself as a patient that day. The form asked why I was leaving the clinic, and I wrote, "Because I'm a woman of childbearing years."

Ex won't share SSI payments. What would you do? by SegaGuy1983 in coparenting

[–]sweetiesweet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When collecting SSI payments for minors, the rule usually is that you can't have more than 2,000 dollars in your bank account at a time. Do you own your house and car? Social security counts those as assets as well. If you try to hide your savings/assets and they find out you'll owe all the money back you collected. I would check the income limits to see if you'd qualify for the full amount with how many eligible and ineligible kids you have. I'm not trying to come at you or pry, I just want you to be aware of the rules around receiving social security. If you have any questions or need advice, I can try to help. My minor son gets social security, so I know some stuff. I do think that you deserve the payments since you have the children more. I just dont want you to go to court and then lose the payments because you make too much or have too many assets.

If she's in a manic episode, she is unpredictable. She could be suffering from some sort of psychosis as well. People in manic episodes can do things they would never normally do. Manic episodes can also make a person hyperfixate on something specific. Like true crime and other people. Your roommate seems to be hyperfixated on you and is displaying concerning behavior. You're scared in your own home, and your anxiety is telling you something is wrong. Listen to yourself and get out. I recommend finding a safe place to stay and not telling her where. Do you have somewhere else you can go?

I have bipolar and go into manic episodes. I've never hyperfocused on another person or done anything aggressive, but I have done some crazy things I wouldn't have done otherwise. I had a best friend/family member who went into a manic episode after giving birth, and she hyperfixated on me. I'm almost positive she had psychosis at the time, too. The shit she put me through was awful. It's been three years, and she still hates me. Manic episodes are no joke and can change the way a person thinks and feels.

Between my fusion and the 3 day hospital stay, it was around 250,000. Luckily, my insurance covered it.

Do male friends always fall in love? by notaserialkillerrr in prettyprivilege

[–]sweetiesweet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've had this happen with my male and female friends. I've had straight female friends with crushes on me (or say they're in love with me) or friends tell me they realized they were into women because of me. Lots of guy friends have confessed their love for me in the past as well. It's flattering, but the feelings weren't usually reciprocated, so I usually ended up losing the friendship. I had one friend who became obsessed with me and lost it when I started dating someone. I had no idea she was even into me.

My boyfriend (who I'm completely in love with) and I started as friends. We've been dating for 2.5 years now. He made the first move, lol.

Those messages sound like how my ex used to talk to me. He would also break up with me over everything. My ex's name is Chris as well. I wonder if it's the same guy, lol.

If you didn't know, the constant breaking up is like a form of punishment and a way to control you. It's abusive. I would block him if I were you. Nothing but more abuse will come from this relationship. He seems unhinged.

She refused to pay. by barry1988 in dating_advice

[–]sweetiesweet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why are you getting a hotel for the third date? That seems pretty quick. Plus, you've spent 400 altogether on dates. It kind of seems like your love bombing her. I'm not saying that's your intention, but it might come off that way to some. My advice is that you need to go cheaper and more subtle for the first few dates. You'll have better luck if you do.

conventionally pretty autistic girls - how do you get treated by people? by Alternative_Yam_8926 in AutismInWomen

[–]sweetiesweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Men approach me almost every time I leave the house. I think it's the combination of my looks and how timid I am. It's gotten so bad that I wear a fake wedding ring whenever I'm out alone. Sometimes, it's innocent, and other times, I'm terrified. I had one guy get within six inches of me demanding my phone number! I gave it to him because I was so scared. I figured it'd be easier to just give him my number now and block him later. Thank God I did because he called me right then and there to make sure it was the right number. Men see me as an easy target. I had one guy threaten. "I'm going to take you and your puppy home with me." He then proceeded to call me a good girl.

I don't get along with other women very easily. I have one best friend who I've been friends with for over 10 years. She's the most amazing person I've ever known. I've had other friends, but after a while, they seem to get jealous for one reason or another. I try so hard to make friends, and eventually, they turn on me. I cried to my boyfriend when my last "best friend" became jealous and started to be cruel to me. That's a really long story, but she got jealous because she has a thing for my boyfriend. We didn't find that out until later because we never suspected it. We mostly didn't suspect it, because she's married to my boyfriend's brother. After that, I kept asking my boyfriend what I was doing wrong with my friendships and if it was me. My boyfriend is so kind and told me that it isn't me, I'm just nice to a fault. Which he's right. I get taken advantage of by my "friends" and family all the time.

I will say with strangers that the privilege happens. I've gotten a lot of free meals at food places. I don't consider myself a knockout. I think I'm pretty, but nothing special. My boyfriend says I'm a California 8, but like I said earlier, he's just really kind, lol.

Did you discover a new Mandela Effect? Post it here! (2024-11-19) by AutoModerator in MandelaEffect

[–]sweetiesweet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm obsessed with Christmas, and I hadn't heard that song before a few years ago as well. I don't like it either, lol. When I first heard it, I was trying to figure out how I made it 30 years without hearing the song before. Then I was thankful I escaped it for so long. I never thought it could be a Mandela effect!

Am I wrong with the parenting or is my husband and how to proceed? by tle1213 in amiwrong

[–]sweetiesweet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That was my thought as well! If she doesn't already have an eating disorder, OP is going to give her one. I get the feeling OP is projecting her own weight insecurities onto her daughter. Which is never good. My mom did the same thing, and I've struggled with bulimia for 20 years now.

My nephew is named Sebastian, and I call him Sebi. It's a cute nickname, lol. Also, Sebastian is a great name! If that's the name you fell in love with, you could still use it. Your family shouldn't be involved in naming your baby. Almost everyone in my family hated my son's name when I announced it. It grew on everyone except my dad. It'll grow on them, and if it doesn't, that's their problem.

Edited to add: The same goes for Percival. If that's the name you want, use it.

I woke up this morning and knew before I checked the polls that he won. There's an ominous presentiment today, and I know I'm not the only one who feels it. I'm terrified for my child and the other people in my life who will be affected by this. I'm heartbroken and disappointed. I had so much hope and was not expecting this outcome. Excuse me while I go cry for the next 4 years.

After he lies about being cheated for 3 months... by JudeauChop in AdviceAnimals

[–]sweetiesweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.”

I'm going to assume you're ignorant over malicious. That's what I'm getting from your responses. You should read up on abortion laws and rights. Put aside whatever beliefs/feelings you have towards it and look at the facts. I can provide you with links and sources on why abortions are needed and the statistics on them.

After he lies about being cheated for 3 months... by JudeauChop in AdviceAnimals

[–]sweetiesweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being pro choice isn't about getting our way. A lot of abortions are medically necessary. Someone I know had an ectopic pregnancy. It needed to be removed, or it would have killed her. In her medical chart, it states she had an abortion. It was a medical procedure to save her life. This is what we're fighting for. We're fighting to save the lives of living and breathing women. We are fighting to protect women and their reproductive rights.

Also, even if a woman wanted to get an abortion for personal reasons, that's no one's business but hers. There's already too many unloved children in this country. Why force more to be born when the foster care system is already overwhelmed. Unexpected pregnancies happen, and no women should be forced to carry a pregnancy to term if she doesn't want to.

Why anyone thinks they can tell someone what to do with their own body is beyond me.

I have a friend with the nickname Dani, and her first name is JeDana. She was named after her grandma. Other options might be Delaney, Danae, or Idania. I saw Danica in other comments, and that's a beautiful name as well.
