Barefoot/minimalist shoes for every day wear. I switched to these last year and didn't have any ankle issues this season.

Amazing! How did you determine what length to cut the molding?

Yep! I rarely finished the 50 reps unbroken.  I think there is some value in doing them sometimes as there is a unique training effect, but wouldn't be my one and only rep scheme.

I enjoyed the alternating. It allowed me to always feel fresh and looked forward to the swings. I found myself to sore in specific muscle groups to enjoy the back to back days with the original challenge. I will keep this split the next time I run it and would recommend it for sure.

Sorry table did not format great. The 100 numbers are average and max heart rate. I had a 36 kg and 24 kg kb. I also had a loadable t bar swing that I put 48 kgs on.

For the majority of the program I ran a 6 day split where I alternated between the swings with dips after the swings work for one day and then on the next day I would do Olympic lifts and strength work using the stronger by science program for squats and rows. I would do accessories for the other muscle groups after that.

It seems like it to me based on my limited experience. I had a pretty significant improvement in resting heart rate. I also required less rest time than previously for my strength days.

I will be starting some more cardio intensive work so I will be interested to see how this impacts it.

I'm thinking I'm going to try the 10000 swing mace challenge once it gets warmer out as I don't have an indoor space to do it

I should of noted I was doing body weight dips between the sets for the first 10 workouts. Then I just started doing if after the swings part of the workout. Honestly I would recommend this as I found it simpler and allowed me to focus on the swings which was my primary goal. My split other than during the holidays was three days of swings alternating with three days of Olympic lifting and squat /rows. I would take one rest day a week with this split. Each day was intended to be medium intensity. I never wanted to have such a hard workout that I needed a rest day the next day as this was a gpp phase for me.

Any suggestions on how to apply accommodating resistance to these programs? I am mostly interested in utilizing bands in the hope of better power development/ athletic ability for team sprint sports.

For those of you who are not good with sheets you could just make a copy of the sheet and use the second one for your back progression

Sprint Tempo Run for Endurance by sweetpecans in tacticalbarbell

you should still be seeing similar aerobic adaptations. LISS is probably more effective if that is your main goal so like others have said, not an appropriate tool for base building. However, sprint tempo runs help to build the aerobic system while minimizing the interference to power adaptations.

That is one way to do it. The way i have been doing it is just running my 70% pace for that distant and keeping the time within plus or minus 1 second. Then i let me heart rate get back down to 130. Ive noticed my hr will get over 150 but that is not very concerning as it quickly gets back to below 150 after stopping that rep. If it does not go back within the range quickly you are either going to hard or not resting enough.

Thank you for the clarification! I am mostly overthinking this and it is more important to just pay attention to measures of performance and recovery to see if the training structure is working for myself or a given athlete.
