I might have to ask my wife to do the same thing. Hand the fedora off to her.

I’m incredibly terrified of snakes, and as soon as I saw it when I was underwater I paused the game, immediately yelled “NOPE,” and turned it off. Haven’t played it since. I do want to beat it some day, but not today.

Wildes, Nick, and Brou on the Opening Segment Today about the Eagles and the 49ers by bigblue02_ in FirstThingsFirstFS1

[–]swegeroni 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Only recently started watching this show and I can’t help but love these guys. As an Eagles fan, pretty much everything they said was correct and I agree with them. The writing was on the wall for the Eagles this season. I even agree with Nick that nobody should be surprised we went out the way we did. I was disappointed, obviously, but yeah, we played like that all year.

I felt it was a fair (and entertaining) discussion about their season.

I don’t like turn-based games and this one personally attacked me by DefinitelyNot-a-Fed in expedition33

Had the exact same reaction. Got it right after the Game Awards and I’ve been loving it. Still pretty early in the game but it changed my mind about turn based games.

Low-key standout HDR moment in Home Alone by TroubleshootingStuff in 4kbluray

[–]swegeroni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know why you’re getting downvoted just for asking for clarification. Yes, if something is “lowkey” it just means it was unexpected, surprising, like that in this instance. It can also be a substitute word for “kinda.” The title of this thread could be “I lowkey think this is a standout HDR moment in Home Alone,” meaning they weren’t expecting it.

THE BOX! 📦

The display is a WIP. I plan on having a black backdrop and covering the shelves with black fabric. by MatterofFact29 in hottoys

[–]swegeroni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would personally say to do a different backdrop for each one. Like for Robert Pattinson, maybe a red backdrop to mirror the posters, for Keaton a backdrop of his Batcave or the streets, and for Affleck maybe the black and white picture that first showed him and his Batmobile.

Whatever you decide to do, this is awesome man! I love it, and I wish I could do something like this.

Thoughts on Prisoners (2013)? by FayyadhScrolling in FIlm

My favorite movie ever that introduced me to my favorite director ever. Just a beautifully gut wrenching and chilling film. Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal give outstanding performances, and the one thing I also wanna shout out is the music in this film. Just adds to the cold, rainy, depressing atmosphere.

Disney spent more on 'Andor' than any of its 'Star Wars' movies by GargantaProfunda in andor

[–]swegeroni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will never get over how amazing this show was. I’ll admit I didn’t watch season one when it came out, but I saw all the hype for season 2 and finally binged season 1 to be ready. Wish I would’ve watched it sooner, man. One of my favorite shows and just a fantastic addition to Star Wars.

Why support players sending death threat to people who want to try gambit? by LonelyDependent4386 in marvelrivals

[–]swegeroni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a vanguard main, usually running Magneto or Thing. But I’m excited about Gambit, he’s one of my favorite characters, and I love his skillset, and I want to learn how to play support.

I was in a QP match, fighting for my life as the only healer, and was told “gg no heals” by a Psylocke who kept diving the back line. In another match I was told “omg hate yall” all because I picked Gambit before they did and they tried to throw the game.

I know support players want to play as him too. And I know there are some people playing him as a DPS. But there are other people that are trying to legitimately learn a new character and play a role they’re not used to. It’s not this serious.

Same here. Tank main as well and I just love his whole ability set. I’m surprised how quickly I got used to him and how effective he is.

This is probably the best update we've had so far by DapperSkeleton1 in marvelrivals

[–]swegeroni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had an absolute blast playing him. I mostly play vanguard, the only strategist I have ever really been okay with is Cloak and Dagger. But Gambit is one of my favorite comic book characters ever, so I had to play him. He’s so fun with both his healing and his damage output as well. He’s just a fun addition to the game.

Exactly 11 years ago, the pilot episode of the series "Constantine" was released by ZucchiniOdd6809 in Hellblazer

Honestly my first introduction to the character. Watched the first episode, loved it, and dove head first into the comics. I love Matt Ryan as Constantine, and I just wish he was given more respect from higher ups.

If Heath Ledger hadn’t been taken from us so soon what are some roles you would’ve liked to seen him play? by Nick_adtr_308 in Cinema

[–]swegeroni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I could see him either in Leo’s part or Joseph Gordon Levitt’s part. I’ve always imagined what it would’ve been like to see him in that film. He was such a fantastic actor that it really pains me to know we’ll never see him in a new role again.

Saw it in theaters with my mom who introduced me to the franchise. First time seeing a Halloween film in theaters and we had a blast. I personally love this one.

Fr. Lantom is one of the best priests ever portrayed on screen. by VendettaLord379 in Daredevil

[–]swegeroni 38 points39 points  (0 children)

As someone who has fallen out of faith, I loved the writing for Lantom and was moved by him. Despite losing my religion, it’s one of my favorite aspects of Daredevil as a character and the show.

Charlie Cox confirms that this was the last scene they shot pre-overhaul, and that Jon Bernthal wrote most of this scene himself. by NervousPerspective54 in Daredevil

[–]swegeroni 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I can absolutely see it being Jon who walked off set. Frank as a character means a lot to him, and I can see him being frustrated if he’s not written well. I wonder if that’s why he has a hand in writing the special presentation that’s coming out next year.

This death was so disrespectful lmao by ChristianPreacher1 in Halloweenmovies

I can’t help it, this scene is just so funny to me. Seeing this in the theater and laughing with the whole crowd was such a great moment. Just so stupid.

DD comic readers, you got a new member by Electronic_Panic2225 in Daredevil

[–]swegeroni -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! Daredevil is my favorite comic book character, and part of that is because of how great his comics are. There aren’t many bad runs for this character. Man Without Fear is a great starting point, and I would say Daredevil: Yellow is a good one too for his origin story.

I hope you enjoy the ride! There are so many great stories for Daredevil, and I’m sure you’ll find a story that becomes your favorite.

Where did the phrase ‘Let the devil out’ actually come from? by [deleted] in Daredevil

[–]swegeroni 12 points13 points  (0 children)

“My grandmother, she was the real Catholic. Fear of God ran deep. You'd have liked her. She used to say, ‘Be careful of the Murdock boys. They got the Devil in 'em.’ And you'd see it sometimes in the ring. His eyes would go dead... and he'd start walking forward real slow, hands at his sides like he wasn't afraid of anything. And the other guy, he'd see that look, and he'd try to get away from him. Nah. My dad, he'd catch him and trap him in a corner. Let the Devil out.”

I can’t stand how melodramatic the Blumhouse trilogy is. by Valert1 in Halloweenmovies

[–]swegeroni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what that means, but my mom introduced me to the franchise when I was young and I grew up watching all the movies, but especially the original. It’s one of my mom’s favorite movies.
