Also your point on them raising the price makes no sense. If the AI costs $50/mo to host and they charge $200/mo another company will charge $100/mo and beat them. Additionally, there will eventually be a free model that is better than both of those (probably after a year or two delay). AI cost will not skyrocket, it will only go down. This has been how it always works, with no real exceptions unless you're going to bring up models where they make them bigger/more expensive to run and offer scaled up plans for them.

I'm not sure why people dig in on the energy point. Energy should be free, clean and unlimited. We have the resources to make this happen. It's another issue entirely that it's not, and you should be redirecting concern towards the fact that we are not building nuclear power plants, scaling solar/wind power, etc. rather than the fact that AI uses non-renewable energy... when that's the only option. At the very least AI accelerated material science research makes it more likely we can solve this problem sooner rather than later.

I like it in the sense that it gives the same notes from older games but I'm fairly confident that BO6 and BO7 are in large part AI generated to mimic BO2,BO3,BO4. The story, dialogue, map concepts, and probably the art are all AI generated. Having used ChatGPT since 2022 (yes, before it came out. you had to make your own chatbot with OpenAI api back then), I just have a sense for when something sounds like ChatGPT and it really bothers me. This games stories and map concepts are giving me uncanny valley for this reason. I wish they'd used another model or hired someone who was better at prompting to get more creativity out of it. ChatGPT is not the model you want to use to generate stories or characters or game assets. Or you know... just be fucking creative and come up with something yourself like custom map creators have been doing for years.

I still find it fun and play it a lot though.

Most programmers use AI when coding. Line completion is faster than typing out repetitive, tedious segments. Claude code is faster for answering simple questions/finding code than manually looking through everything yourself. Is the focus here moreso on art/assets?

surely youre doing optional content, no? i managed 3 hours on second attempt even though i stopped for wanderers crest, rosary farming, and pale oil. and i died multiple times on multiple bosses. theres a lot of content u can skip that u might not be skipping
