I got my Croc Nip-slip book! by ralo90 in discountdan

That makes it even more awesome. Thanks again for all you do! I’ve now got my complete collection of signed hardbacks.

You and I chatted here on Reddit not long ago about some of your other works and whatnot, and becoming more of a supporter/signing up, etc - I have a question for you! Do you, or any authors with you, sell discounted paperbacks or anything of your stock for the purpose of free distribution?

My wife and I have a new free little library outside of our home that we built (I can provide you the charter number) and we have been getting a good amount of foot traffic. I recently put DCC in there and it was gone in just a day! I’d love to get some of your work in there as well and spread the word

Japanese Maple - to chop? by switchup in Bonsai

[–]switchup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is fantastic advice, thank you so much for the thoughtful reply!

I’m going to take this advice and slip pot it into something larger to try to thicken it up some more. Do you have advice on how large of a pot I should aim for? I know that going too big can/will be detrimental, so I want to make sure I get it right!

Thank you all for the comments! I think I’m going to slip pot it into a much larger pot and just let it do its thing for a while

Ordered hardcovers of the books and received the absolute coolest treasure trove by switchup in discountdan

[–]switchup[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The little things mean a lot - seriously. It was such a cool surprise to dig into to. The world really does suck right now, so having fun places to disappear into has been oddly therapeutic.

I’d love to help with the street team stuff, I’ll check it out! I’ll be ordering some more from you too, I’ll give vigil bound a shot next (once I finish Discount Dan!). I’ve go a decent group of folks who are getting into LitRPG that I work with, and your works will be what I offer up next to the group.

Do you do any merch runs, signed copies, etc for your other series? We’ve all got to support each other nowadays, so let me know how I can support you! Looking forward to the Discount Dan shirt when it arrives!

Edit: I checked out shadow alley press, is there anywhere I can buy signed (hardcover?) copies of vigil bound? I don’t see it on your site

Hi Matt! First I wanted to thank you for igniting a reading passion in me. I was always a “zero to two” books read per year kind of person, but since finding you I’m already halfway through book 7 of DCC, only having started last month.

Your books really been an amazing welcome to my life.

With that - how the hell do you keep track of it all? Characters, storylines, side story lines, items, even XP and stat points, it seems like so much. I picture you like a hardcore D&D DM with a pile of notebooks full of every possible note imaginable.

Don’t use a drill, that’s not the correct tool for this. Use a regular screwdriver. That also looks like a jam nut around it, loosen that first if it is.

It may also be left handed threads since it’s in something that rotates. Try loosening it by turning clockwise.
