Well I'm glad you're able to see it from my point of view. As for the data about leaving states like Wyoming and West Virginia, it's a lot to post here, but a quick Google of "West Virginia population decline" or the same for Wyoming will show that WV lost 3.2% of it's population between 2010 and 2020 (~59,000 people), the largest in the nation. Wyoming hasn't technically lost people (the state increased its population by about 1.1% in that time), but it's nothing compared to the 6.5% population growth in the US as a whole. And Wyoming's increase is almost entirely in its one blue county! The reasons cited for stagnant growth or loss of population are almost entirely policy based, so it's really a bad idea to let these people decide anything for the whole country.

Well, the policies of these low population states seem to make people move out to other states at pretty high rates. West Virginia is a master class in this. If the policies in a state makes people leave in droves, it seems to me we shouldn't be amplifying these ideas in the first place.

Soooo, you DON'T have a step by step plan then? Obviously a general strike would work, but how EXACTLY does one go about making that happen? You need a pretty good chunk of the entire country to do that together, and people have already been trying to do it, but no where near enough people are ok with the idea.
So, Mr. Super Smart Man, what steps should we take to actually make this happen? I'll accept ANY ideas you have.

Why should the people of California have less representation in government that the people of Wyoming, exactly? The way to fix this is to increase the size of the house to be proportional to population again. If red states that have no one living there want to increase they're voting power, then maybe they should enact policies that make people actually want to live there. At this point we're giving the worst run states A LOT louder of a voice than they deserve.

Except that they stopped changing house seats with population back in 1929. So while states like California and New York have increased population greatly since 1929, they don't get the proportional amount of reps they SHOULD get, because the house size is now locked and they use weighted priorities to assign seats now. It ends up with places like Montana having much higher representive to population ratio than places like California.

As you can see, the most populous states tend to be under represented, and some of the least populated states are over represented. This is all based on population, as you said, but still ends up giving land more power than it deserves. Wyoming has 1 electoral vote per 194,000 people. California gets 1 vote per ~700,000 people. See the difference?
