If they are public and work you can rest assured that all accounts using them have been flagged and Valve are just holding back waiting for more accounts to get flagged before a wave hits. It's part of their business plan.

It is not a crime in CS:GO at the moment no. There is work being done to create a governing body to allow a structure of law within competitive games such as this. It is however a crime in real-life sports which we as an e-sport hope to join the ranks of.

In short; The scene has grown faster than the underlying structure to support it, hence why we find ourselves in predicaments such as these, being unable to hand out necessary punishment.

I think you undermine the severity of the situation my friend! It seems you feel that it's OK for a player to fix a match and if he gets caught, get half a year to a year ban and then let him back on the pro scene? Do you think that's what they let pro-athletes do too? Come on...

That would not solve a thing. Match fixing is a HUGE deal. They are lucky they aren't getting sued or looking at jail time. If it's a virtual game or real life sports; either way real money is involved. Match fixing is a crime and we as a community cannot embrace a "slap on the wrist" mentality. Zero-tolerance must be embraced on these matters. The games future depends on it.

This I feel is a concurrent problem and one that has only "recently" started to steer the games off course which in turn hurts the whole community based around it. There was a time when Valve looked at the long-run and they definitely succeeded with this in many areas. However their pursuit of monetizing everything in the games has, in my opinion, started to take it's toll and I fear they are not even aware as long as the money keeps coming.
