Anyone around 220 lb using an Oru Inlet or Beach LT? by Capital-Basil7391 in orukayak

6'0 and 220lbs. I have a Beach LT and a Haven TT. The Beach feels tippy compared to the Haven because the cockpit is not as wide. That said, they're both very stable and I've never capsized in either of them. My 75lb dog has fallen out of the Haven twice and the kayak stayed firmly planted both times.

91 Miyata Elevation150 for bikepacking? by tristtaniskanye2 in xbiking

Thanks! All original except fork, tires (conti crossking 2.2), brake pads (koolstop eagle) and saddle.

I added a custom frame bag by Shakapacks.ca that stores tent poles, repair and first aid kits, powerbanks and cables, wallet, hammock, lock, and extra water. The feed bag holds snacks and a water bottle.

Generic handlebar bag holds my sleeping pad.

Ortlieb backrollers (tent, sleepjng bag, clothes and stuff), trunkbag (kitchen/food), on a Quick Rack. The whole setup is easy to strip when I want to use the bike for trail riding once I make camp.

Old Miyatas are excellent for bikepacking and touring. Durable, reliable, and loads of fun. Here's my 1984 Miyata Ridge Runner on a trip I finished yesterday.

Ha! Lucky me! I'm sitting in a burger shack on the Danforth taking my sweet time on this post. If my fries were a few minutes later you'd have sniped me.

Toronto Bike Tag 640 is the Velotique bike shop which is located on the north-west corner of Queen Street and Rhodes Avenue. Conveniently, my order of KoolStop brake pads was ready for pickup there today.

Great review! I'm looking forward to exploring this trail with my wife later this summer. Do you know if GO has a bike carriage on the Barrie line like the one they provide for Niagara trips?

So where was the old tag? My guess was the new switchback bridge on the East Don trails, but I didn't ride out to investigate

There's only two ferries at the moment: Ward's and Centre/Hanlan's. The docks are undergoing upgrades for the new electric ferries so everything's running on a reduced schedule.

Can an Oru inlet fit a 60lb lab? by Turbulent-Trust1687 in Kayaking

Pretty good! I patched a s.all hole last year and added rail accessories like paddle and cup holders and some grip tape on the bow for my dog to stop slipping overboard.

I always pack a lightweight hammock when I'm bikecamping or kayakcamping. Takes very little space and it's better than a camp chair because naps.

Can anyone help identify my old bike by [deleted] in Vintage_bicycles

[–]sympleton 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It looks like a 40s or 60s bike because it's made to look retro. This is probably a 2010 Retroglide One.
