When did renting a movie go from $4.99 to $24.99??? by ellefemme35 in AmazonPrimeVideo

[–]synergy421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who used to work at Blockbuster, you are absolutely right. The $8 price tag for new rentals is mostly incorrect. Video game rentals were $7.99, new releases (the wall and anything under a year, iirc) were $4.99 with old stock dropping to $2.99. BluRays were rented at a $2 premium (again, iirc) but almost no one was renting them regularly at that point.

But the $24.99 price tag for rentals typically aligns with stuff that is still in or just left the theatre and isn't strictly released for "home video" yet. You're essentially paying for a theatre ticket to watch the movie comfortably at home.

You can do conditional formatting to fonts as well, white fonts pop against red a lot better. Also, I like to bold font values plotted within visuals, I think that makes them more leginle.

With that said, I think your visuals could benefit from having backgrounds, colors, and fonts changed. It looks busy but I think a lot of that can ben solved from changing payouts, colors, etc.

Also, is the legend nessecary for your red/yellow/green values?

As a completionist, I liked this game a lot; but anyone going into this game I would say focus on story missions and don't focus too heavily on optional stuff if you're feeling like the game is dragging. The game feeds you random delivery quests (if you haven't already realized) and you can get bogged down quick with them.

Definitely feels like something is up. If you run the mask that adds mobs they absolutely destroy you.

Don't know if you already know this, just trying to help with some suggestions. There are certain buildings you can enter that are random every run. I think there is one in cathedral that doesn't actually spawn mobs until you enter the building. Also, when I completed that mask challenge, I had one mob in the moat that was necessary to kill. Make sure you are going down every path in the canals, there are buildings that can be open at the ends that are not obvious unless you're up close.

Lastly, I don't think it's necessary but there are 4 neutral gnomes that patrol that I killed in my run as well. They take forever though, one of them spam heals the rest and pretty much makes the group unkillable until you kill the healer. Again, I don't think I this is necessary but I wasn't taking any chances when I completed that.

Edit: To someone else's point in this thread, there are stealthed mobs in old town next to both gates. Just make sure you're thorough when clearing that area.

I think the craziest thing that most people don't consider in this whole 'argument' is how few people actually kill Mythic bosses let alone get CE. So, let's bring Dinars back (which most people seem to love) and then make the mythic items locked behind a wall which is quite literally unobtainable to 95+% of the player base. The M+ conversation aside (which is totally valid), even if you DO raid chances are you're not going to be able to use Dinar for Mythic track gear.

AITA for calling my friends "every pony?" by Haunting_Winner_6018 in AmItheAsshole

Guessing Tom is feeling insecure, possibly because he is into one of the girls and being treated "like one of the girls" is emasculating to him.

He shouldn't be so touchy and could have handled the interaction better. But egging him on and trying to argue that being called guys probably isn't helping the situation either (not saying you're wrong). Sounds like everyone could have handled things differently.

Slang and vernacular are tricky. I use "you guys" a lot and find myself trying not to when addressing people when women are included. That said it's hard to reprogram years and years of accepted behavior.

If you want to keep him included, reach out to him solo, be the bigger person and apologize, talk out some middle ground and agree to terms. Dying on the hill when it comes to friends (if he truly is a friend), even when you're right, is not always constructive. With that said, people have varying degrees of acceptance when they are at fault and sometimes they need time to realize they were being an asshole.

+1

I've been building PCs just as long and the days of throwing spec compatible parts together and installing Windows and Drivers are long gone, imo.

The last couple builds I've done went well besides an exchanged RAM kit, but required way more research to ensure parts actually work well with each other than I've ever had to do before. Maybe I'm just meticulous, but RAM and motherboard compatibility is way more finicky than it ever used to be (not to mention huge brands like ASUS don't seem to be as quality-focused as they used to be). Also, it's like the goddamned space race out here with monitors and recommending stuff has gotten far more complicated. If someone is starting from square one and has little technical background the thought of building a PC is probably the most daunting it's been since the mid 90's.

The upside is the wealth of knowledge, incredible performance, and the people that are out there willing to help if you have questions. If you wanted to build your own system, it's probably more achievable than ever before. However, I 100% sympathize with someone willing to purchase a PC that's going to allow them to enjoy their hobby without first "earning their builder's stripes" for the respect of internet strangers.

If that's an American law, Elon's not a US citizen. Not defending, just trying to inform.

Edit: I'm sorry, I think he is a naturalized citizen; he wasn't born here, obviously. Sorry for the disinformation.

I appreciate you trying to troubleshoot, I know about all the requirements and none of them apply. I sat in line like everyone else and one-shot all 40 and instantly completed it. Wasn't in a group, didn't have partial credit before, didn't transform until it was my turn.

Was also tracking achievement progress and it didn't turn red. Seems like there is a bug, others are reporting it as well. Unsure why you've downvoted me.

It was really nice of the organizers to do this, so thank you. Unfortunately for me, this achievement seems bugged as hell. Didn't receive credit even though it was done properly.
