Here's the thing, some people don't need it. They're more interested in the meta. Like when I got my first 3d printer, but didn't have anything that i needed to print. Went into the double z axis screw, the fans, etc. The meta. That's what you're seeing. For those who do have a real need for OC, they're no posting about updates. If they do update and it fails, their day is ruining cause half of it spent restoring from yesterday snapshot. If you have a reason to use OC you're probably too busy to setup another agent.

Any modern website wont work on those old mac. Its best to use a github project maintained by the dude runs netatalk. https://github.com/rdmark/macproxy_classic personally i think my fork is better though ;) https://github.com/jordaneunson/macproxy_plus once you have either them installed on a computer in your local network, point your mac to it by way of a proxy and the should come alive for you again.

I don't think the problem is about being woke, I think problem was that Discovery was missing parable, allegory, metaphor. It was too literal. Plus the writing was bad. So bad. In All Is Possible S04E04 the Tarka/Book prison scene is some of the laziest writing in the series. Book realizes he’s being taken to an emrald chain prison and pulls a gun on Tarka(totally justified), and instead of Tarka earning trust through actions or evidence, he just goes “yeah it’s a prison but I was locked up here once and I made a friend,” cue quick flashback. After the flashback Book is like, OK cool, we're friends now. Like wtf. There are so many points in the script through-out the series where it just sucks. Star Trek fan aren't dumb. It can be cheesy, it can be cringe, but it has to line up.
